Okay, so I'm going to jump into the DIY zone since the government is getting ready to get all up in our stuff... I want to keep getting all these flavors and juices for as long as I determine I'm going to vape flavor anyway because who does the government think they are, telling me what I can and cannot put into my body? They'd rather have us not know and feed it to us than be smart human beings, do research and choose for ourselves. Neat, right? I digress.
In the end, I'm not all that creative and do better expanding off of someone else's idea... hell.. maybe my process will give other people some ideas as well. So here's what I have:
Currently I have 14 bottles of flavoring, one of which should only be used in special circumstances, as I realize it's a poor candidate after reading more information in here. I also have 8 8 ounce bottles of tinctured base for ease of blending.
My flavors are:
Capella - Juicy Orange, Orange creamsicle, kiwi strawberry, cotton candy, double chocolate, sugar cookie, cherry cola, vanilla custard.
McCormick - Rum Flavor (this one has food coloring, corn syrup and carmel color in it. the rest is natural and artificial flavors and 29% alcohol suspended in PG. Usable, but not ideal, right?)
Watkins - Pure Coffee Extract - the ingredients are listed as water, alcohol 48.75%, extractives of coffee beans, so that sounds safe enough.
Tastypuff - Cognac Skittlez, Slippery Nipple and Jack and Coke
Then in the 8 ounce bottles, I have 70/30 mixture of VG/PG and then each bottle is slightly tinctured with a base flavor for aid and speed of mixing. The bases are as follows:
90/10 VG/PG Sweet Cream (for candy drips)
70v/30p Blueberry Base (for dessert drips)
30/70 Blueberry Base (for better flavor and less vapor)
70/30 Watermelon (for Liquor flavors)
70/30 Strawberry base (for fruit drips)
90/10 Lemon base (for sour drips)
90/10 Bananna Split Cherry base (for ice cream and dessert themed juice)
NOTE - the PG in this one is a different brand, much cheaper, giving it a test.. (this is the brand found at tractor supply.. reads PG USP on the label so it's good)
The last bottle is 100% VG for thickening mixtures with too much PG
So.. what I'm looking for is some suggestions. I haven't seen many recipes that work with coffee, kiwi, cookie, chocolate or rum flavors. It seems like I have the capacity to make some pretty good beverage style drips. Anyone want to give me a shove in the right direction? Ever wanted to mix a flavor with ingredients you don't have and have someone else try it and tell you what they think? I'm your guinea pig. I have access to all the VG and PG I could ever desire, in small quantities from my friend. My wal-marts and other local hobby stores have just about everything else. About the only thing I'm going to have to order is flavor if I want any of the FA or 10n1, Capella flavors. Our Hobby Lobby carries LoRain (sp) but it seems that a good deal of those flavors are oil-based, come in small bottles and don't live up to expectations... anyone else have feedback on that? Anyway, have fun thinking up stuff for me to do. I'll be happy to mix whatever and let you know how it went.. All these flavors and the base liquids were free to me today from my friend so I'm not out of pocket on this.. Don't worry about running me out of ingredients.
Happy trolling!
