Once again I have to pick on GotVapes. The grammatical errors in fasttech copy can be hilarious, but understandable. GotVapes, on the other hand, is a US company (or claims to be, I wonder sometimes), so their errors are unforgivable.

"Its (sic) back after a long reprise and BETTER than ever before! We are proud to re-introduce our flagship product, the product that launched GotVapes and the product that changed the landscape of vaping [A period here and capitalization of the next word would be nice.] introducing a clear tanked, fillerless solution providing the cleanest vape ever experienced 'til that time. Its (sic) BACK and we made many improvements:" (blah, blah blah...)

Wait! Run that by me again!

"introducing a clear tanked, fillerless solution providing the cleanest vape ever experienced 'til that time."

wpm8dQ5.gif

"Its BACK and we made many improvements" but obviously not in the proofreading department.

why do you have to be so nitpicky it's just a product description you can't expect them to be perfect it's not like they're trying to do this for money or anything

(That was harder to type than it is to read)

I have 5-6 different colored EVOD tanks, 2 mini Protanks, and a regular Protank--most are filled & ready to go all the time. An iClear 16 and 1 mini Protank are in my reserve box. I also have a little KR808 set with 5 mini-clearos. All easily cleanable. I would NOT suggest carto tanks. Cleaning the carto is next to impossible unless you get the very rare, fillerless kind and a pain in the ..... If you like top coil types, I would get a bunch of iClear 16's or mini Vivi Nova's. It's much easier for me to just keep a bunch of different colored EVODs filled with different flavors but I did dump, clean and swap out the coil when I wanted to try different flavors before. The easiest way is definitely the drippers but too messy & fiddly for my lifestyle.

Fun With GotVapes
gotvapes copy translated

I was looking at their new carto tanks:

"Very attractive 3.0ml carto tank, extremely well sealed. You can disassemle (sic) the tank from this unit but it is so well sealed into the top and bottom o-rings that you are instead provided a top knurled screw-in fill port through which you can fill your tank without removal of your cart!"

Translation: You need a wrench to get the carto out.

"Earlier releases of the X series tanks provide a machined hole at the base but no extra screw. Many speculated this was to hold the top screw when refilling so as not to lose it. We surmised it may be there to provide additional air flow control."

Translation: The first version leaked. The second version came with a screw we thought was supposed to stop the leaking, but it doesn't; it also leaks. We don't know what the screw is for. Bob, in sales, speculated, while Jim, in receiving, surmised it has a purpose. (Bob's wife also speculated, which counts as "many.")

"With its clean quasi-steam-punk appearance, stainless tip and highly polished top and bottom caps you simply have a nice sophisticated entry and somewhat low-profile entry into the carto tank market. This is a KEEPER!"

Translation: No warranty; no returns. It doesn't come with directions. You have to keep it no matter what.

Note: Quasi-steam-punk? Sophisticated? Low-profile? I suggest you pick a theme and stick with it. Those descriptions aren't quite synonymous.

"The tube can be removed but it is very tight. You will need to use your thumbnail to wedge at the top of the tube and bottom to wiggle it off. We suggest removing the bottom screw to provide air displacement to make this easier."

Translation: You need a wrench.

"You do not have to use the bottom screw and not using it or adjusting it MAY provide more airflow if desired. We haven't verified this."

Translation: We REALLY don't know what the screw is for.

"We would suggest keeping fill screw in the fill port to provide proper vacuum pull and also to avoid misplacement."

Translation: If you don't use the easily lost fill-screw the tank will leak from the top too.

It was also described as "nifty" somewhere in the listing.

I love this:

"You do not have to use the bottom screw and not using it or adjusting it MAY provide more airflow if desired. We haven't verified this."

Like huh? Do they not try their products before selling them?

Then the best part:

There are absolutely NO DOA warranties on the 35mm punched carto that comes with this unit

Of course they do! How else would they know that they don't know?

I imagine the carto comes installed and you couldn't prove it was DOA anyway, since the tank has to be compromised to remove it.

Cartos are great for flavor but they are more of an all day vape topper. Cartos need to be filled/primed and whether you use the condom fill, syringe fill, the drip and shake like a thermometer fill, etc... it's something you would not want to do several times a day as you change flavors if you are busy with other stuff during your day.

Carto's can be cleaned somewhat successfully but requires rinsing then boiling followed by more rinsing and boiling, typically 3 to 5 cycles.

If your juice rotation is limited you could dedicate a cargo to each juice and carry them in a plastic bag or similar. In this use I'm talking about just the cargo not a cargo tank.

A dripper is so quick, drip a few drops and vape away. The downside is obviously you need to keep dripping to keep it going. But if you are only wanting to vape each flavor for short time this could be a great option.

I use drippers to try new juices or check on my steeping progress.

If you want to change flavors all day you HAVE TO have multiple tanks.
I carry around with me 8 carto tanks. 4 Aspire BDCs and 2 of those Gotvapes King Davide BDCs.
That's 14 tanks. Still got a few at home.
Fill em up in the morning or at nite. You are ready to go all day, or a few days.
The Aspires are fairly inexpensive. Carto tanks cost more but tend to hold more liquid.

Yah... I tend to agree with this.... I do it so subconsciously now I don't even think about it, but every vape, I'm picking up a different mod w/ a different tank, holding a different juice. If I don't, I end up burning one out quick:p.

This is from a couple of weeks ago, but I am always swapping tanks, heads, mods around on a daily basis:
DSC00120800x531_zpsacf6a802.jpg

Seems excessive, but I rarely have less than 11-14 mods in continual rotation, and I definitely vape them all.

If you don't vape quite so much, you can get away with just rotating heads with different juices, or what Oscelot suggested, individual small clearo/cartos.

I'm tending to agree. I don't like my carto tank that much. Just can't get it to taste right ( different carto's from different manufacturers, different ohms, single/double coils). I just don't like them as well as the clearos. But I know people that like them much better so I'm not debating that they aren't better. I just can't get them to taste right.

I'll prob stick to clearos.

I agree totally with the Ocelot that GV is not the greatest vendor. Unfortunately, I love using fillerless cartos in my carto tanks, so it's a little bit of a dance with the devil

My hubs is still stuck on 510 stick batts, so I'm always looking for toppers for him. Got the fluxomizers for him, and find myself using them, even on my ProVari...

I still like them best of all the smaller ones, YMMV :)

Please, please do!!! It's like the Twilight Zone over there.

Until I have a chance to browse, here are a couple oldies to amuse you.

More fun with gotvapes:

"Inroducing (sic) the GotVapes TAJ - A Rebuildable Atomizer Tank System from the makers of the Bully Atomizer.

Also known as the ViVi Rebuildable Tank (not to be confused with the SMOKtech ViVi which is being marketed as the GotVapes Hyper SRT by SMOKtech now or the VISION ViVi Nova)."

Translation: Our rebranding is getting out of control. New products are being inroduced faster than we can think of names for them.

"This emplys (sic) the use of a filling rod that seals the lower chamber from the top champer (sic) by screwing the knurled rod into a juice port. Unscrew this then use a syringe or our bottle applicator kit."

Translation: Our translator's vocabulary is hovering around 7th grade level, but has mastered "knurled."
(See prior tank post)

"As with any rebuildable system you will need some time to get used to changing coil and wick but once you have this mastered you will be vaping this like Choo-Choo Charlie :)" [The smiley was theirs]

Translation: uh...

Just for Ocey (on the subject of plastic tanks)

"Note: For Menthol Liquids as Spearmint, Cool Mint, etc., and cola and lime liquids, shoul be used the stainless steel tank. This liquid grab the makrolon tanks sharply, which may lead to clouding and cracks in the tank."

My tanks do not like to be grabbed sharply by liquid. No siree.

Tina -- Take the plunge girl. Go for a cheap RDA,(rebuildable drip atomizer) you know you will eventually. ;)
I suggest a Trident clone. You can find those on eBay for around $20. Some 28ga. Kanthal, cheap on eBay also.
You have a Provari so no ohm meter needed.
Learn to build micro coils,(it's not near as complicated as it's made out to be) and drip your way to happiness! :)
It's the ONLY way to go for flavor!

This one is just sad.

Continuing in the gotvapes tradition of bizarre product descriptions:

"We have put together our own Express kit that includes a manual in five langauages (sic): English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Danish and two other languages we are not sure of the nationality (CESTINA & EAAHNIKA). We have to say that this is the most well written, plain English manual we have seen out of China."

If they put the kit together, how can they not know what languages the manual is in? It also appears they are using a proprietary counting system.

Wait! Huh?

"We have to say that this is the most well written, plain English manual we have seen out of China."

You have seen come out of China? You have seen outside of China? And what is "plain" English? Does my ability to structure a sentence correctly and use Spell Check mean I use "fancy" English? You claim the manual is well (hellooo hyphen!) written (if the compound adjective ("well written") precedes a noun, use a hyphen), but I don't believe you.

What's even worse is that in less time than it took them to write the original copy, I was able to figure out the languages they couldn't identify.

CESTINA = Czech
EAAHNIKA = Greek

Both are essentially incorrect, since some nimrod Anglicized the spelling based on how it was written instead of translating it.

Čeština = CESTINA
ελληνικά = EAAHNIKA
