I have a question- how can I get rid of what was left when my quitmeter disappeared, I don't like that little x. I know zip about computers so, if you can help, explain it like I am about 4 years old. Thanks Micki

Micki, when I right click the "x" box, it still shows the properties of the picture (the url reference) So I'm guessing that whomever deleted it, just removed the pic, but something has been left behind.

Try this:

Click:

>User CP
under Settings and Options
>Edit Signature
In box: put anything (a smiley will do) and make sure all "signature picture" boxes are empty
>Preview
(if it's fixed)
>Save

LOL I don't see a little "x"... really.

Hey GD... It's this one :D :D :D

My background is white and it doesn't show up... spooky.

Whoa!! I just found the gray background... cool! Much easier on the eyes. :)

ya, I know! right?

The only prob is when someone uses a different font and they "set" the color to black, then it shows up as black on grey. The system won't alter it to white. :p

I put a garfield pic in option 2, and this error message is what I got. I do appreciate the help, this is a good thread I am sure that I am not the only pc dummie out there. Thanks Micki

OK... posting a Question, need some help myself :)

Does anyone know??... is the What do you need thread for trading, or giving, or both?

And if it's not for trading, I thought I read that we had one, so where might it be?

Thanks for any help!

The purpose I had in mind for the What do you need thread was for people that were in a bind, like between paychecks, last atty burned out kind of thing. Someone needing something to get they by until they get replacements or their new juice order comes in.

We do have a Swap thread also. In that one you can post what you have and what you would like to swap for.

Sorry, I'm really good at confusing people, lol

Ok, so the other image IS still there somewhere.
(and you didn't see any other code, picture, or anything along those lines? right?)

Here are my suggestions:
Talk to the moderator that helped you to begin with, see if he can completely remove the image. Let him know what the problem is, or point him to this thread to read.
or
Have someone you trust (and knows about computers and code) log into your account and fix it. You can always change your password briefly, then change it back, just to keep things safe :)

I'll poke around my control panel and see if there is a master delete button that would wipe out any images you have stored. That would take care of it. I know there is something like that, because I've seen it, just don't remember where or what.

Anyone know of a good way to clean out bottles? I hate throwing them away, especially since I always end up need some after I toss some out, but some flavors I use just seem to "soak" into the plastic. I've tried Everclear, with some success, but not totally effective. Maybe bleach? Bleach is used by alot of restaurants for dish sanitization, so I thought maybe would work for these bottles we use (with ALOT of rinsing, that is :)).

Any ideas?

I use baking soda and water, let it sit in the bottle overnight and rinse in the morning. Has worked great for me so far.

Blaze: I have successfully used a few drops bleach per LARGE amount of water (A gallon or so). Just scrub, soak, scrub, rinse. I'd repeat the bottles with a "rinse" in a nicely flavored vodka (I like pink lemonade) and rinse again. This is my mode of operation right now and it's working for everything but atomic, that stuff is just too sticky- can't completely get the cinnamon out, so I just re-use my atomic tainted bottles for atomic mixes.

Editing to say the baking soda sounds great! Gonna have to try this!

Hey Mick.... do you have anything like this (see below) in your control panel signature box?

Yes it has that little red x in it. Micki

Ok.. just to clarify.. when you go into the control panel, then under the signature editing place, and there you have the little red x?

If that's the case, have you tried :

highlighting everything in the box (left click (hold), drag over entire contents of box)
delete (or backspace)
(then when box is empty)
save

If not, try that, and let's see what happens.

If that doesn't work:

do you have anything in this box? (see below)
