Can I use by PT to charge my 10400 battery for my Laser mod? I have a PT that has this size battery and and extra battery and I was thinking it might work until I can get a charger.

Also, does Radio Shack carry protected 10400 and 14500 batteries and a charger that will charge both? A wonderful member here is making me a mod that takes a 14500. :D

I don't know, but make sure you get the old protected 14500's. The newest ones are about 2ml longer and won't fit everything. I would check Madvapes, they carry them.

Me, too! :D

Congrats on the win, Gooddog!

I am still looking for an 801 soft tip (that's right, isn't it?)

I LOVe the soft tips. If I can find a new one, i'll send it to you.

ok first are you talking about a 10440 size instead of a 10400? if so yeah the 510 PTs use those batteries and in a pinch you can use it to charge the battery (you can also use the PT battery in the lazer mod)

Second, you can find 14500s at radioshack but not a charger and you will pay an arm and a leg for them..
As for the 14500 not exactly the best battery but not the worst either..I'd get the AW ones from lighthound....just make sure that they are fully protected or IC protected (which means fully protected) not just ones that only say protected.....there is a difference in battery protections believe it or not...

Thanks Drozd. Yes, I did mean the 10440.

I'm so confused about what batteries I need for my mod. I don't want to learn about batteries (too much info) I just want to buy the right ones. :D

lol understandable...

yes the PT battery box will work to charge the 10440...the 10440 from the PT will also work for the lazer...I'd get additional batteries for that from Ikenvape...finding a good charger for them is hard because of their mAh rating versus what the chargers charge at..
actually you can find 10440 batteries and a charger for them here:
10440/10430 lithium-ion battery charger

AS for the 14500...if thats what you have to get thats what you have to get...
I'd buy the AW ones though (even though they're slightly more expensive than *fire batteries and have slightly lower mAh 750 versus 900) without learning about batteries all I can say is they really are better.... and the wf-139 charger charges them...ikenvape has the charger...and light hound has both the batteries and charger here:
AW 14500 Protected Rechargeable Lithium Battery
and here:
Ultrafire WF-139 Charger for 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 / RCR123 3.7 volt Lithium Battery Charger

Thanks for making it so easy. :) I guess I won't be using my mod for awhile. *coughs at price*

Instead of buying 2 chargers could I just buy this one?

And... these are 2 for the same price as one. Are they not as safe???
lol...tsk tsk...you said you didnt want to learn about batteries....

lol actually I don't know anything about that charger as it's the wf-138B...the old 138 charger you had to use aligator clip adapters to charge a 10440 or a 14500 (and the 14500 charged significantly slower)
the 139 works for the 14500 but it's charging curent is too high for the 10440...
EDIT: so I had to research that 138B charger since it's different than the one I'm used to....it only puts out 250mA...so yeah it can be used on both...though it could take 2 to 4 hours to recharge your 14500....good catch on that one...I failed to notice the B on the model

As for the batteries...I had some...and I pitched them...like I said they're higher mAh rated but actually don't last as long...and 14500 batteries truthfully are going to be overstressed...the *fires more than the AW ones so if you were running them exactly the same the *fire ones will have to be retired and new batteries bought sooner (because they'll stop holding a charge).... also there are different levels of what battery manufacturers are allowed to get away with in what they call protected..the AW protection I just find more trustworthy (lol again I don't want to force you to learn about batteries but if you're interested in what I'm talking about protection wise look at this thread (it's light reading with pictures): The anatomy of a Protected Battery - CandlePowerForums ) so for my comfort I just find the ones that actually say IC protection or fully protected on the battery more peaceful to the mind..

I have a question! Pick me pick me!
Ok here we go.. MY HUSBAND (who is becoming a real PITA with vaping) just came in here all mad and frustrated with his PV. He HATES atomizers. He's convinced they're junk and that he just needs to use them once then throw them away .. yeah. Right. Good idea... NOT!!! I can't get it through his head theres NOTHING wrong with his atty, and then I take it from him and blow a big cloud of vapor in his face lol. So long story short, heres my question.......:
He works 10-11 hour days, and is very busy all day with meetings and driving to job sites and what not... so it's hard for him to stop every now and then and clean it up a bit and drip and blah blah,.....I ordered him just a regular joye 510 because he wanted to keep it cheap. Ok cool, no big deal. Well now I'm thinking I should switch him to something that uses cartomizers... problem is, I know NOTHING about them. I don't know what model uses them (any of them? all of them? kr808??) Where do I go to get one (keeping it on the cheaper side, too much money invested as is)... help!!!!! :( :(
Oh and p.s.
Hes extremely allergic to PG, so I have to be able to get him VG carts... grrrrrr!!!

Vapor4life has a sale on kr808 cartomizers, 19 percent off with MayFlowers in the coupon code thingy. They have some good cartomizers.

VaporNine has 510 cartomizers.

They are both good..i prefer carto's over attys hands down. Easy to fill, you can refill them several times before you have to throw them out.

Lots of other vendors have them both as well.

Theres a easy fill cartomizer video out here somewhere showing you how to fill them...very easy to do.

Also..the kr808's can be used on regular batteries with an adaptor depending on what type you use. madvapes carrys adaptors with a reasonable price.

I have a few kr808's i can send you to try if you like..just pm me and ill ship them out to you. You will need an adaptor if you use these on a 510 or 901 or 801 type battery.

Also...if he likes them...you can buy them in quanitity from HealthCabin for a cheaper price.

I lost my signature. :( When I try to put it back in it says the BB code is too large. I had it there once so why can't I put it back?

Remember, it said Sometimes I wonder..."Why is that Frisbee getting bigger?"... then it hits me.

I tried adding the Pay it Forward link but when I couldn't I tried to just go back to the original sig, but nooope, it won't let me.

Get blank cartos and you can get an adapter to use them on the 510 battery (though you're better off getting a KR808D-1 battery)...and use the juice you've been using for him...

Far and away I'd say vapornine for the turbo cartomizers and KR* battery

alternately madvapes has the 510 battery to 901/808 adapter for about $2.49
