Hi Folks! I'd like to get some thoughts on a wicking problem with my kayfun lite v2. Let me first mention that its a clone, I mean a clone of a clone - a real knockoff. I wrapped a micro coil to 1.7ohm using 28ga and positioned it about 2mm above the air hole. I watched several videos and read quite a few forums on various wicking methods. Being mindful of the amount of wick I'm using, I tried pulling both ends of the wick up through the chimney base and trimming just above, and tucking the wick down. I also tried trimming the wick so it just touches the deck right on top behind the juice channel.
After several attempts with both cotton and rayon I continue to get dry hits after 5-8 good draws. No leaking or flooding problems just the dry hits. Primer puffs seem to help a bit and if I let it sit for a while it vapes great for another 5-8 draws. I'm running this on a regulated device as low as 3.6v with no success. juice is off the shelf, Space Jam 50/50. Feel like I followed instruction to the letter and running out of ideas.
Appreciate any thoughts you may have. Thanks.
