Besides the niche market, I would say mechs in general days are numbered. Then in a couple years the cycle will begin all over, like it already has.

It's all come a very long way in a very short time..but..there's only so many way's to vape. Mech mods have a pretty loyal following with builders like yourself and I.Guess we will have to see what's next huh? I'm looking forward to it.

Based on what? they were always a niche market, for people willing to take total responsibility for the vape they wanted.

i have seen evics come and go, MVP's run to 2 versions, Hana's and all the rest of it. dna 20s, 30s ...

I still use the same Reo i bought in 2012, it's been butchered and modified but unless you're using a new 100W+ box mod (for professional vapers only), then for reliability and ease of use as well as output, i reckon i have you licked!

Crap vape? My fault - clean it and make a better coil. Easy and harsh at the same time!

Based on its already happened....there were mechs 4yrs ago,, then came zmax's, vamo's, provari's, and the likes. Then mechs came back on scene like 2 yrs. ago. Now the majority of capers are siding on regulated again.

If i went all theoretical on you, my Reo with its current (!!) setup puts out 92W. Of course in the real world it doesn't, because of voltage drops etc.

Nothing i have said is meant to slag off regulated devices and for newcomers i'd heartily recommend those for ease of use, but a Reo will likely outlive you, marry your widow and put flowers on your grave.

Ok - i lied about the last bit. The professional vaper bit is a reference to this herbert!

You sure? i know a guy that makes mechanical bottom fed mods and he has a 2 year waiting list. The P3 is hardly a groundbreaking new device is it?

I have not read through this entire post but this is my experience with Reos. I came to this site not knowing much about vaping and after being here for a couple of months I purchased a Reo Grand LP and a RM2 off the Reo website.

I was not impressed at all. There was such much hype around it like it was going to be this life changing experience once I got my Reo. I can say it was far from life changing. I was very let down. I also did not like the RM2 it is super small. The deck gives you barley any room to work on and I have big hands so that was a negative right away.

The construction is durable only because there is maybe one moving part in the whole entire device. I paid close to $200 for it and to be honest it would not be that hard to make yourself if you knew what you were doing.

I personally like box mods and I am now leaning more towards tube mods. If you like to drip then you should be use to having to fill it up with juice. You would also be more than likely use to using dual coils and use to a lot of air flow. The RDA's that are offered at the Reo site are meh compared to non bottom fed RDAs. (You could convert almost any RDA into a bottom fed one but it will cost you more money).

Point is I bought it used it for 1 day and sold it the following day on here. It was not for me.

A mech is really just part of a regulated mod; if your electronics goes bad, you might be able to just run unregulated, that's all.
To say that mech's days are numbered is like saying the wheel's days are numbered because there are cars.

On the contrary, the future will have mechs and the regulation will be optional like the kick; that way if your fuse/kick goes bonkers you just take it out and vape away; like having a spare tire when you're driving.

for that kind of dollars I'd give it at least a month!
you never know; sometimes something just takes some time to get used to.

I wasn't really worried about the money. If I didn't have it to spend I would have never bought it in the first place. I also knew if I didn't like it I could sell it on here or other sites and get full retail out of it.
