Provari's and Vamo's are great, but I recommend definitely including some Vision or eGo spinners to get started. They're pocket friendly, which is something that 18650 and even 18350 mods are not. I love the way that Kanger T2's and T3's fit on the eGo stuff. And they don't leak even if they are upside down in your pocket. The Vision spinners come in a 1300mah version, a couple of those should last you 2 or 3 days between charges. The mods are great for when you get home or in the car.

Thanks, they are really good suggestions as with no bricks & mortar retailers to go check out products, I've been wondering about one of my concerns/questions in my original post - the need to transport horizontally, especially use in the car.

You're welcome. Have used both clearomizers and Vivi Novas. Although I liked both the Vivi was definitely better build quality. Some have reported leakage at the top of the clearos which means may be an issue when laying down horizontally. Found Vivi to also give a better draw- cleros were kind of tight draw. Carto+ tank never ever had a leak BUT some have reported issues. It also depends on the juice- higher PG/ waterlike poses more problems whereas high VG/ thick and you have wicking probs.
Okay to lay horizontally:
Vivi Nova
Tank+ Carto- be aware there are great tanks out there and some real garbage ones- best to buy quality.
Not good to lay horizontally
Clearos
I use the Mini Viv Nova and just stand the PV up in my "box" on the floor -holds cds, cups, etc.
Some have re[ported flavor issues with the larger 3.5 ml Vivi. It all really depends on the PV that you choose- ohms versus voltage.

Thanks, they are really good suggestions as with no bricks & mortar retailers to go check out products, I've been wondering about one of my concerns/questions in my original post - the need to transport horizontally, especially use in the car.

First, I wanted to thank everyone for their replies to my original post. I took the plunge and ordered a starter kit from the UK supplier who was recommended for good customer service - who did sort of dissuade me from starting off with my original plan of including a Vamo/Mini Vivi Nova Tank as part of my initial setup -. Upon receipt of the package this morning, have to say that first impressions were that of slick product look & feel (the eGo-C and Vision V3 Clearomisers) but 'supporting' stuff clear indication of an industry, if not in its infancy - definitely early days. Expect I will find more detailed user guides on the Joyetech site (and whoever makes the V3) to supplement the 1-page photo copy guide that came with the kit - stuff like whether the operational LED also serves as a battery power level indicator,... Clear to me that I am going to have to look into arguably the most important piece - stuff being vapourised and put in my body - as labels on the e-liquid don't exactly inspire confidence in the quality/level (pharma grade or 45 gallon drum of dodgy provenance) of the ingredients. Anyway, the journey has commenced....

Glad to hear you're happy with the vendor and purchase. Yeah there's something to be desired in this industry when it comes down to real info/ manuals on the devices we use. YouTube has lots of info. As for juice things have greatly improved over the past year. If buying juice I would make absolute sure there's no diacetyl in it- known to give "popcorn lung". Stick with the reputable vendors and the juice should be safe/ fine. Your concerns about the juice is another reason why vapers are turning to organic juices in ever increasing numbers.
Best of Luck.

Thanks for the tip. Will check out YouTube as surprisingly JoyeTech site doesn't even have decent info. By hunting around I found what the battery charge level indicator is but no luck finding what the higher voltage power output is of the eGo-C Upgrade (1000mah) batteries in my kit.

Looking very likely that I will making a trip to the US in next couple months, so very interested to learn more about the organic juices you referred to - then to get some while I'm over there. Please would you point me to a good thread/forum member where I can read up.

In one of your earlier posts, you mentioned how you stored your pv in a 'holder' or similar that held CDs (I think). When not using it, wondering if there is a recommended way to store my eGo-C/Vision Ego V3 Clearomizer combo. Vertically with tip facing downwards (so that juice away from atty?) or ok to leave horizontal?

Thanks

Here's some instructions:
How to use the battery of Joyetech eGO c upgrade.
and a PDF User Manual:
http://vapegeek.com/downloads/eGoC2Battery.pdf

This Joyetech upgraded eGo-C battery has 2 modes. One is the constant voltage output mode that we have always used before.
The other is variable voltage output mode.

Lower voltage would be the standard for eGo- 3.3 volts. The second choice/ voltage will change from 4.15V and as the battery drains will go down to 3.6 volts.

Here are some organic juice vendors. Realize because they are custom made/ fresh they may require steeping. Also understand some of them make 100% VG juice- very hard to wick and gunks up delivery devices quickly and may require steeping:
Organically Flavored E-liquid | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes I've tried their juice and it's amazing- are ECF verified/ listed, have a huge and loyal following and many of their customers are those that have allergies/ sensitivities to EJuice ingredients.
Vaperite | Organic and Natural Flavored Electronic Cigarette E Juice
ECBlend E-Liquid All Natural and Organic
Orb Vapor All Natural & Organic E-Liquid
E Cig Juice @ *_Highbrow Vapor_* - E Liquid Store, Shop our Store for Ecig Products.
Welcome to Ahlusion
Natural & Organic E-liquids - Home page Dripeez
Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids - not specifically organic but naturally extracted
Based in the UK:

Best to ask Chrissie in the U.K. Forum as she would know better:

You have Vision Clearomizers- the weak point is where the drip tip meets the head (wick+ atomizer/ element). I never had any leaking issues but some have. I would stand it up where the drip tip pointing upwards to be safe. I use the Mini Vivi Nova and can lay it down.

Thanks for all the info. Been away for a few day, hence delay in replying - and reply I just did got 'lost' as me session had expired! Had to read up on steeping and also believe that the small leak I got during my trip was from exactly where you described - drip tip. Spotted a good post which captured a key part of my experience to date - that the discussion has got heavily into tech specs of kit - while arguably the single biggest thing a newbie has to understand to not get discouraged is that smoking technique is nothing like as with a real cig

If you're sure you want to dive deep into ecigs and the smell of tobacco already smells stinky to you, go and save some money you would waste on disposables and cheap ecigarettes.

Off-topic: I've always been thinking that this is the main reason why so many people stop using ecigs after a couple of weeks. Cheap ecigs (and especially their atomizers) produce lots of problems while expensive ones rarely do so. Just my 2 cents ;)

Hi all, I'm a noobie here.

Been reading through some of the info trying to learn about this so I can choose what to buy. I've gone to a couple regular old smoke shops here in Las Vegas and they are HORRIBLE for giving information or guidance. So I have yet to buy anything.

I'm a pack a day smoker of Pall Mall Green 100's. I've been a smoker for basically 40 yrs and I can't stand what it's done to me. I MUST QUIT.

But I still have no idea where to start, what to buy to start. I need no less than a 1 week supply minimum also. And that's just to cover me for my 1 day a week to go shopping and run errands including buying cigs if I have to.

I saw some math on the issue of mg of nicotine etc, but still don't really have it down.

Not meaning to hijack op's thread, but my guidance question is similar. Any suggestions on where to start in terms of type/brand of ecig and mg or whatever, plus any needed addons to last me would be awesome.

In the meantime, I'll keep trying to learn and get through the information overload phase.
