Okay, I'm a pretty new vaper (just over 3 weeks now) so I'll admit to being pretty inexperienced. But I had a battery problem today, and wanted to know if I did something wrong or if you guys had any idea how to fix it. My favorite battery (regular length chrome manual w/ blue LED) seems to have just died on me. It was charged up last night and in it's (non PCC) case this morning until I put on a cart and started vaping. I was in the office today, so I only hit it 4-5 drags every hour or so. Well, 3 hours later, I took a drag and it was fine. Then I took another drag. No vapor at all. Then I noticed the LED was not lighting up at all. Just to be sure, I put it on the charger and after 20 minutes or so it was showing fully charged (as I expected, since I had used it very little today), but still nothing. It has not been dropped, or mishandled, it lives in the case when not in use or on the charger, the threads are clean, and just to be sure, I made sure it doesn't fire up for any carto (and the light doesn't come on even with no carto on it).

Any ideas? They don't usually die this quickly or suddenly do they? This has me a little sad as I like to have several batteries going to rotate flavors and such....

Thanks in advance for your insight...

Thanks Belletrist!

Actually, I just saw the other thread about a similar problem with an auto, and upon further reading saw that a few others had the same thing happen. So now I feel like a doofus for not reading everything first! D'oh!

I suspected it was possibly a dud, as sometimes happens with any mass-produced item. I'll contact the crew to let them know what's up. And I'll use this as an excuse to buy a few more spare batteries! :)

Apologies to everyone for a duplicate-ish thread!

I had two of the older XL manuals that both did that 2 days in a row. I charged them all night and they started working right.

In my case, I thought it was the case I was using (non-v4l) and the buttons getting pressed.

It sounds reasonable that the circuits in the battery could get confused if the button stayed pressed for a long time. I'm also guessing that leaving it on the charger overnight gives it a chance to "reset" everything.

Food for thought.
