OK
the 306 is another joye product...a mini...it's slightly shorter than the 510....an exposed bridge atty similar to the m4xx series, L88B, a couple of others...
but it has the same threading as a 510 so it can be used on 510 devices.. (the threading is actually the same on the blu and L88b as well but the battery polarity is reversed)...

about the same resistance at 2.5Ω...they're freaking vapor monsters for drippers and dippers but the carts for them suck...

I'm actually surprised you've never heard of it before... the cisco LR306 seems to be the "in" atty at the moment

Ok, thanks. I have never seen it mentioned before. But I have only been vaping 3 weeks but have read 843 billion posts, etc. So i know far more than i think i really even want to know, lol.

Also, i tend to stay in the newb section as i like answering questions to assist. But the vast majority of any discussion here always comes to the EGO.

Also, i do not like the atty/cart combo and see little use of it. Dripping, i get that. carts, i do not.

If you ever decide on the an EGO kit here is ALL you need. i spent about 2 hours today helping someone with all of this. I finally made a list and said ... let's keep this simple...ORDER THIS ... lol.

ONE EGO kit from LiteCigUSA $55
ONE box of blank cartomizers $8
ONE box of pre-filled cartomizers $8
TWO 10 ml bottles of liquid $8.50
DONE.

That is ALL you need, nothing more. Other things can be bought once you decide what you like.

Skip the pre-filled cartomizers. They're usually crap and need to be refilled because they "feel" empty and usually have a bad taste. 20mL is not much liquid and won't last very long.

2 eGo 1000mAh batteries from cignot.com $24 x 2 = $48 + shipping $5 = $53 (Battery life is more than 12 hours)

eGo Fast USB Charger from cignot.com $8 (Takes 3 hours to charge when plugged into a computer or 2 3/4 to 3 hours to charge if plugged into the 2amp AC to USB wall adapter available from madvapes.com for $9.95 + $3 shipping)

2 boxes Boge 510 with soft cap cartomizers from litecigusa.net $7.95 x 2 = $15.90 + shipping $2

$92 total + whatever liquid you want from wherever you want. FreedomSmokeUSA has very good juice and is recommended by more posters here than any other supplier (I think).

This setup will be excellent and should last for quite a while. You won't believe the difference between an eGo and the blu batteries.

The regular 510 batteries will get you through the day. But the issue for me was it gets annoying to have to take one off the charger and put the one your using on charge about every 2 hours. And you can get a PCC (Personal charging Case) that will recharge them 4-5 times to take with you on the go. For me though Using the PCC and carrying 2 batteries is bothersome. Now I have an eGo with 2 900mah batteries. I can leave the house with a fresh battery and a topped off carto and I'm good for 10-12 hours without bringing anything extra. I am usually only gone 6 hours (college class) but if I were to go out longer I would probably bring a 2nd carto just in case. Although last time I went out a carto lasted me about 12 hours because I vape a lot less when I am out and doing things. I really really think it would be well worth spending $15 more to get the eGo batteries (even the 650mah should be plenty). I was happy for awhile with the standard 510 batteries(these are only 180mah) but over time it gets annoying at least for me it did. The eGo batteries will last a lot longer too because you won't put nearly as many charge cycles on them. I found that my first pair of 510 batteries were starting to wear out to the point that I would be waiting for a little bit for one to finish charging when I had already killed the other after only about 3 months. From what I hear the eGo batteries should serve you well for at least a year probably a lot longer.

edit- I think you will find that if you get the eGo batteries to start off with that in the long run it will save you money.

What deback posted above I would recommend highly that would be an excellent setup. And also I recommend the freedomsmokeusa juice also. I only tried juice from 2 other vendors, but the FSUSA juice is so much better I decided to just stick with theirs. With the BOGE 510 cartos you will probably want to fill a few to take with you if you anywhere for very long (ie...work or school) the ones I use a eGo XL Cartos (they hold about 2ml of juice), or bring a bottle of juice you can easily pop the cap off and add more as needed.

PS- I have also heard a lot of good things about juice at Vaporbomb, Backwoods Brews, and Ms.T's Bakery I just haven't tried them. You can find links to all of these and more in the forum suppliers.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Sadly, my car broke down on the way home from college today so it looks like I might have to drop some money on either a new carb or a fuel pump, so I'll have to stick with my blu for at least a little while. Luckily I get paid this Friday so we'll see if I have a little money left over to indulge myself :)

Ohhhh ya. I started off on a blu...or 4081...I don't remember. Either way, the blu was good for it's intended purpose. Handy PCC and worked decent. Not awesome...but decent. But that freakin sound activated battery almost killed me. Shoved my blu in my pocket and hopped on the Harley one night for a ride. About 5 minutes in I started to feel my leg burn. I was able to get myself off the road just before any real damage happened but I was lucky. After that I sold the thing. I think I had it less than a week.

Currently using a few box mods I built and a pair of manual 510's for light carry.

Buy an EGO. Then you will get a decent experience. Later you can decide if you want another "mini" or not. My guess is not, but possible.

And my list is best, ignore Deback... ha ha. The only issue is prefilled. I always recommend getting 1 box of those so people will have something to puff NOW. They dont last forever anyhow... so long term it is a non issue. But short term it is best to have something to puff....

Your list is not the best! ha ha Maybe it will be after you're more experienced with all of this, though. That is, your revised list, after you've tried more products, instead of just forming opinions by reading others' opinions. Trust me on this.

The only prefilled cartos I've bought were so empty when I received them that I had to add 20 to 25 drops before I could vape them. Then I had to refill them a few times before the original flavor was gone. I'll never order prefilled cartos again. They're worthless and a PITA. And 20mL of fluid is probably not enough to last very long, especially for someone new to vaping.

The difference in our lists is they would save money in the long run going with my list. That way they would have the better batteries to begin with (1000mAh batteries will last much longer than the 650mAh batteries before needing to be recharged), and they would have the supplies now that they'll be buying in the near future. I like saving people money and extra unnecessary hassles, based on my own experience with all of this (and the things I should have avoided when starting out).

@Deback, I KNOW pre-filled suck. BUT for a newb it is best. Sorry, my list is best, lol. They need and want something to puff immediately....Cartos do not last forever.....It doesnt matter long term. However, short term it matters.....Once they puff them dry they can refill them.... simple.

sorry I gotta disagree with you.... cartomizers suck and present a world of problems of their own...I wouldnt advise a newbie to start with just cartos...expecially prefilled cartos...

I just got my first PV, got a Joye ego from cignot.com. I think it is awesome. I'm totally newb on this but the 650maH batt seems to last very well. Of course, I like the idea of having 1000mah. More gas in the tank, so to speak. Also, I would imagine if using a LR atty it would pull more power? And I definately plan on picking up a LR atty down the line.

i agree with some of the earlier posts. as you can see, most of us have tried a few different things. my best advice to you is this combo: the joye eGo and a 510 Low Resistance atomizer. this is my favorite combo. i have used several different PVs but as far as simulating a smoke, this is it. you'll get great flavor, good throat hit (TH), and the eGo battery lasts a long time. Welcome and Happy Vaping!!!

You should be fine. My only suggestion is whether you bought any cartomizer and at some point - you may want a passthrough with a 510. Those connect to a USB and eliminate the need for a battery. The battery life with any mini is rather short - so a PT is a good addition.

EDIT: OPPS, you ordered the EGO 510....not a standard... i see no use in a PT with an EGO personally. My other battery has long since been charged before I use up one... and I vape rather heavy.

As far as the cartomizer vs. atomizer/cartridge debate... i use that combo maybe once a day, and only to get a couple of good hits.

Yeah I was gonna make a new thread regarding the differences between carts and cartomizers and dripping etc but you brought it up here so I guess I'll just ask my question here. I'm pretty confused when it comes to all that. Technically speaking, what's the difference as far as how it works between carts, cartomizers and dripping? Dripping is probably the one I know the least about.
