Hey guys,

Been vaping for a long time now.

Was earlier on Joytech Evic-mini and Uwell Crown. This combo was working beautifully for many months.

Then suddenly a few weeks ago, i ran out of old coils and purchased new ones. They only worked for 2 days and went off. Uwell must have changed there designs.

I thought it was my Atomiser, so i purchased the Crown 2 thinking it would be much better or atleast the same as how my original crown used to work! Boy was i wrong!!! The new designed coils from Uwell are absolutely terrible and the uwell crown 2 coils also only lasted a day or two. It was tasteless, gave dry hits very quickly and also would overheat like crazy. Temp control would not work anymore on there coils and direct power i had to put right down to about 40watts to not get a dry hit. It was a miserable experience!!

As usual i went to Reddit for help :)

The uwell problem seemed to be occurring for the majority of people. I was recommended two different atomiser heads. One was the Aspire Cleapto and the other was the smok TFV8. Most people did highly suggest that i go for the Cleapto, especially for the flavour, but being a fool i fell for the silly highly praised and possibly fake reviews on youtube and new features/marketing of the TFV8 and went for that one instead.

Obviously, my joy tech mod only went to 75watts so i also ordered the RX200S and 2 batterys from samsung with the bundle.

Thankfully, its been almost a week now and i don't have any coil issues with the Smok Atomiser, which is a relief! However it has its own issues :(

It drinks the flavour like it has no tomorrow! I only run it at 90-100watts.
The flavour is a bit hit and miss! Sometimes it can be decent, but sometimes it an just taste of water on the exhale! Its weird to describe, but flavour is knowere near as good as how it was on my crown 1 when it worked properly.

Clouds are huge, which is the good part, but flavour is a bit lacking. Especially on many exhales where it just tastes like you are exhaling a flavour with a watery flavour or something.

Hence, my ECIG problems continue to go on and on, I've spent too much many on these things now and just can't afford to buy anything more at this stage. I will continue to use my RX200s with TFV8 at home (due to its size) and use the evic-mini and crown 2 on the move. The problem is that none of these are providing me with an ideal experience, especially the crown 2 for on the move. Its a horrible experience, and the burnt tastes linger in your mouth for long. :(

From what I heard UWell did change their coils around the time the Crown 2 came out. Had many complaints about them and have since fixed the problem. Hopefully you get old or new stock with your next order and not the defective batch. I'm sure any vendor that purchased them is getting rid of them 1st sadly. Out of the Cleito and TFV8 personally I would have got the Cleito, TFV8 is a cloud chaser not a flavour chaser tank.

I have had similar issues with different brands, all with screw in atomizers. I had to build my own drip rig to stay off cigarettes. For me, an RDA and a mech has been the solution. I experimented until I found a coil build that gave me the taste and vapor that I wanted and that is what I run. I change my wick every couple of days and carry a 15ml bottle and a spare battery with me just like when I used ego stuff.

There IS a learning curve with RDAs (And mechs) but I feel that its worth the effort and can guarantee a consistent experience better than any other option I've tried so far.
