Hi all!

New vaper here. Been cigarette free for 6 weeks. I'm currently using an innokin endura t18 with some success. I say that cautiously. Yes, it has stopped me smoking. However, I find that the device burns through coils fairly consistently. Does anyone recommend a better mod for a fairly new guy to this business. I also have an Aspire K3 which someone bought for me at Christmas. Is that a better device. I haven't opened it. I thought I might keep it as a backup spare. Cheers for any further advice people might have for me.

Chris.

Have you tried starting your inhale slightly before pressing the fire button? That will cool the coil so the wick doesn't burn as fast.
The only tank I actually own, is the kanger toptank mini I got when I first started. I was burning to many coils. It comes with 2 prebuilt coils, 0.8 and 0.5 ohm I believe, and they seem to last. I still have the 2 I started with. Mind you, I started using the mini rba that came with it and never went back.

Oooh.

The K3 says "Satisfying mouth to lung experience" on the box.

Ah, bless them (I ****** hate Aspire).

Whilst that is kind of true (just about).... the K3 will vape at 33% less vapor than your Innokin T18.

So, not all good news. However.... there are Ninja tricks we can do (if you are interested) with some swapping of hardware.

Does it give you the throat hit you like or do you find it to harsh? If its harsh, try 30pg/70vg. Oh, by the way, give your pen a couple puffs without firing when you pick it up in the morning or after not using it for a couple hours. It wont take much, so you don't have to suck it like a straw.. lol. just a puff to prime it.

Nah... no harsh hit. It's rather pleasant. As I guess it should be.

Should be fine then. Just try the priming puff if you haven't vaped it for a couple hours or more, and start your pull a bit ahead of pressing the fire button. That should help some with the coil problem.
Consider getting something you can rebuild though. If you burn the wick, you just change the cotton and keep going. I'm running about 4 tanks on the same coil, changed the cotton once. lol..32 ga stainless steel wire 7.99 for 30 feet. I used maybe 12 inches on this coil. (but it is a bit more complex than a plain old regular coil.. i used 3 strand parallel wraps.. hard to work with, but great results)
I could have just used 26 or 28ga kanthal a lot easier though.
