Hey guys, as you can all guess Im new here. Didnt find where to post this thread so just tought of writing it here. So the problem Im having is my g-priv 2 (luxe edition) is working fine, but when it is not charging via usb, the screen is black. Its all fine if its charging, you can press it, change collors etc. Touch screen is fine. Even when the screen is pitch black I noticed the touchscreen still works (tried lowering the wattage). Didn't find any similar thread to this, if there is please link it to me. Thank you. Hope to have a good time with you here everyone.

I don’t know. I don’t own one myself. It’s possible it’s supposed to do that. Some sort of power saving mode maybe. SMOK has a rep for weird electrical issues due to famously poor construction though.
Someone who does own one may be able to tell you better. Likely someone will be along.

Where are you located?
Did you buy the kit at a physical store or from an on-line vendor?

Welcome to ECF, Orisu. I was gonna suggest the 'stealth mode' thing too. That's what it sounds like to me.
Yeah, I was gonna say you were probably in stealth mode.
Now I'm going to say you definitely are.
If it doesn't bother you, it may or may not save you a tiny bit on battery life (and potentially on screen display) unless it blows up first. That is always possible.

Yeah, the marketing hype and false advertising continues.
The most watts any dual 18650 regulated mod can produce is 180 watts with two 30 amp continuous rated batteries.
I wonder how SMOK gets those extra 50 watts?

After reading this thread yesterday I got my Alien 220W off the closet shelf and put a couple of VTC4's in it. It's fine. It's seen low use and has been in the closet for more than a year. Dual 18650's for my vaping style just makes it a heavy, bulky mod, but for those who vape high watts that's necessary. One thing I noticed is that it has a really smooth ocean wave atomizer sound with minimum popping and spitting, unlike many of my mods.
Hand feel on the Alien is good and it still looks almost as good as it did right out of the box. I think the Innokin Proton is a similar and better choice for a dual cell mod, although the little joystick on the side makes it a poor choice for pocket carry unless you lock the fire button each time after vaping.
The Eleaf Invoke is a good choice for dual cell pocket carry. It's noticeable smaller and lighter as dual cell mods go.
