sponge--i'm sorry!!!!! i drove from madison to the wreckage, just to prove to myself it was really gone. any news on that?

thomas m--i live on the northside! let me know if you guys have another "vape-in" somewhere. i suspect it helps folks' motivation to know there is a community out there, having FUN while NOT smoking:)

I've not been by the site, but as far as I know, they are still searching for the arson perpetrator. I've not heard any other news than that, but mind you, I don't keep up with the news on a routine basis.

just joined up, got some great advice here on the "new users" forum. just wondering if there are any folks in the madison area here? i'm the only one i know trying to go smoke free w/the e-cigs, and i'd sure like some company! if there is anyone from madison, do you have any places that DON'T allow vaping? any stores in town that carry supplies? just wondering. anyway, HI from madison! this is a great forum!

Electro - as most regular 'viewers' can tell you I seldom if EVER get on-the-band-wagon and WELCOME "newbies" WHY? Because they Never show-up for Meets (are you listening "LOOK"?) Somehow I feel you are 'different' though (maybe it's just because I like your Avatar - I'm a CAT person). This is a wonderful group of really nice people (except for me) and they are here for YOU! So WELCOME "Electrowoman"! Hope to see you at the next meeting.:)

Maybe if you welcomed them, they wouldn't be so afraid of your BA self & show up? :pervy:
Don't let him fool you; an encounter with C-kool is worth the price of admission at a gathering.

surely surely i will! know what I noticed? some really ODD things (besides the toothache that was made worse by switching to vaping--got advice on that in the new users forum)--i've noticed i don't drink as much soda! i'm a pop-a-holic. i drink AT LEAST (don't freak!) a 12 pack of diet coke a DAY. since i began vaping "for real", i've drunk about half as many pops. that is a miracle unto itself. between my smoke habit and my pop habit, i spend over $360/month! holy.....cow!

Now you have to get reward yourself with one of these cool water bottles:
http://http://www.flylady.net/pages/FlyShop_swb.asp

They are double insolated and hold ice for a crazy long time.
I bought one back in June and now find myself reaching for the ice water more than the Diet Pepsi. Well, unless the Captain comes for a visit; then I'm reaching for the 2L jug ;)

Do you normally have dental issues?

Welcome! My hubby and I have been in Antigo for a year. I lived all my life in Milwaukee and Shorewood.

Well...I was born in Rack-in-ee. LOL! That's too funny. I'm in real estate and it's always amusing to hear the out-of-town buyers struggle with Wisconsin names. Even "Mequon" sometimes gets pronounced "Meek-won". Kinnikinnick is always a fun one, too!

Aren't you getting a little 'personal' KC? She says she used to smoke and currently drink soda to the tune of $4320.00 per year! I too find the e-liquid to damm sweet. Get off the soda Electro, and STOP whinning - save that for when you get the Dentist's Bill!

mirgrl: yes, i do normally have tooth issues. it seemed also pretty common on the new users forum. i'm sure mine are worse than others, though. my dental insurance sucks--and i hate going in for cleanings (hey, they HURT). gonna get me one of those sch.... water bottles. would be great if i became a vaper and a water drinker. but they'll only get my coffee mug if they pry it out of my cold, dead hands!

Nitrous is your friend.
Along with Mr. iPod to crank up the tunes & dull the sound of the drills ;)
I have a history of developing an infection within 2 weeks of getting a crown. Which is then followed by a trip to the endodontist for a root canal & a mark on what was a perfectly pretty new tooth. I finally gave in last month & started the process for another crown; my first since vaping. I've had the perminate in for over a week now & (knock on wood) so far not even a twinge of a possible infection coming up.
Coincidence? Hmmmmm.....

every dentist i've ever seen lectured me about smoking. so surely vaping, in the end, will be better for me. i have a swollen cheek the size of an egg right now (clearly an infection!), but have to find time to get to the dentist. of course i ran out of the vicodin after the LAST root canal last yar. if this requires a root canal (probably), then it'll be my 4th. really stinks. i have GREAT health insurance, but LOUSY dental insurance! and of course, i never get sick, but always need dental assistance. figures. HOWEVER, it's more motivation to stop smoking forever. it's $200/month i spend on cigs. that's TWO root canals...(or an ipad and laptop, or sound system for my rec room, or a trip to hawaii...)

If I know of any one going to that area, I'll try to send you some referrals.
