That eRoll really is a great cig a like that just rocks after you get the fiddle stuff down but we smokers like to fiddle. Great starting dand ending device. I use it more than my dig fancies. I love variety. You go. Great start. Kinda pricey but if you watch what kind of jce you use, clean versus gunky and be careful no bubble air pocket has formed and inadvertently burn the atty, the atty will last longer. The battery is the kind that likes to be topped off frequently so use the PCC like an ashtray. I always have two PCCs going at t least three batteries. I'm sure you lurked the eRoll threads. Congratulations. The worst part about eRoll is keeping track of the little buggers! So small.

I was over a pack a day smoker....tried and failed to quit numerous times....but of course, like you I loved to smoke...didn't like the rest of it though-the smell, the ashes, the holes burned from hot ashes, the coughing, etc, etc....I smoked for 50 years...my son who had smoked for 30 years started vaping and hasn't had a real cig for over 3 months, talked me into trying this. Got the stuff in the mail yesterday and I must admit I love it! Haven't had an analog smoke and not wanting one. I know it's only been one day, but hey, one day at a time. I'm using a Ego Twist 1000 and Mini ViVi Novas. They work awesome and I just love the e juice my son recommended. I can see me being smoke free from now on.....so good luck - there's a lot of us here!

Well, I didn't smoke Camels. I smoked whatever was cheapest. 2 PAD for over 37 years. Thought I would die a smoker. I didn't think there was any way I would ever be able to quit.

Ecigs sounded like a good idea, but too good to be true. I thought it was all a scam, just like all the weight-loss scams and get rich quick scams.

Luckily my brother decided to quit smoking and try ecigs. He's the one that did all the original research, including ECF. I just bought whatever he bought at first.

And, guess what? That was 2 years ago, and I haven't even wanted a cigarette for over 2 years now!

It's a whole new world!

just wait alisa in about 6 months or so you will be walking in the mall or climbing stairs and it will hit you...i can breathe!
i was the same way i got short of breath very easy just going up stairs or carrying something heavy across the house then one day i realized that was no longer happening.
just watch your diet tho! after a few months food will taste amazing as your taste buds recover and you'll catch yourself eating more lol.

Actually...one of the things holding me back from seriously wanting to quit smoking was worrying that I might end up ballooning up and getting fat if I quit. I started vaping about a year and a half ago, however...and haven't gained an ounce. Yes, food tastes better, and I can actually smell it and enjoy it more. But with my vape tasting so good (you know there are all kinds of flavors, right?) I haven't felt the need to gobble everything in sight. I've known some ex-smokers who now vape who have the ol' "sweet tooth" thing and they say that when they get to craving, they vape a sweet flavored dessert or candy flavored vape...and are perfectly happy. They haven't gained weight, either.

It's all in the mind set!

I have been lurking all over this forum for a few weeks, finally joined yesterday, followed on Twitter etc....I started smoking when I was just about to turn 11, I have tried to quit more times than I can count, and every time it was for someone or something else, the fact was there was so much i depended on, loved, and overall enjoyed. As much as it pained me to hear my kids plead for me to quit, I knew there was no way i could do it until i was ready, I am ready, the switch in mindset was all my sweetheart. she bought the first ecig from the 7-11, that got me searching the net, that got me here, that got me my first PV's ordered and on the way. Even since deciding to three days ago to start to vape, we have both noticed that we have cut down from over a pack a day to just under a pack a day and we havent even received our PV or juice yet...so very looking forward to being able to be rid of the smoke!
Your story, much like many around here, I am sure is a testament to how nice it is to never look back!

I accidently quit too when I actually intended to never quit, was the oddest thing ….I smoked one the other day just to prove I could :-/ .I guess physiologically speaking I felt tricked into forgetting to smoke if that makes sense……it was nasty and I literally had to force the little bugger down so I guess I won’t be doing that again anytime soon. I love my vape but the abruptness of quitting with no mental preparation had recently been manifesting itself in small issues like that which is odd because I have been at this a couple months now ……others don’t seem to have the problems from a purely physiological aspect but I mention it here because unlike a lot that really really wanted to quit I didn’t since I loved smoking.

Just to tie up loose ends, I want to thank everyone for the encouragement and warm welcomes!! I think anyone who stumbles on this forum will feel welcome to stay. I was surprised to wake up and see so many friendly posts. :)

I'm sure as I progress I'll have questions, and this forum will definitely be my go-to resource.

Happy vaping everyone!

A very nice story and wait until the health benefits really start kicking in.....you won't believe it. I'm seventy and smoked my whole life. Well, minus the first 16 years anyway! I had always understood that it was a two year recovery period before health started changing. Me, I would say 6 weeks and I started seeing significant improvement in my healh. I was shocked! I mean really shocked! I could now sleep on both sides, as in no strange noises from my lungs and my sinuses cleared up. No more smelly cloths or apartment! Then I started vaping after about 3 months after quitting smoking and, I believe, my health is still improving. It's all good from here on.........
