Does anybody else ever have hiccups caused/exacerbated from vaping?

I've had my run in with pancreatitis and it can occasionally perk up hiccups that last on & off for a decent bit of time. Time before now I was hiccuping here & there for 36+ hours.

Cigarettes used to do it too. So I figure it has something to do with a back pressure/vacuum being caused by drawing in.

At least with ecigs I've started more just holding the vape in my mouth upper throat & sinuses which can avoid spurring the hiccups.

I do remember getting hiccups when I first started vaping. I was using cig-alikes, and since they didn't burn out I didn't know when to stop vaping. I do think it was the nicotine because I would also have that antsy feeling like I was over stimulated. I must have gotten used to it because I can chain vape for hours now with no problem.

(Also used to get them bad with nicotine gum.)

When I used to smoke analogs I would draw into my mouth while holding my breath and then inhale only what I had drawn in. The net result was a very fast inhale, and the sudden movement of my diaphram would cause me to start having hiccups. Now that I vape I draw straight into my lungs and have not had any problem hiccup-ing.

Yes, only with vaping though. I'm pretty sure it's the nicotine intake also.
Sucking in a cig will make you cough from the smoke, but with vapor there's nothing to stop you, so alot of people actually UP their intake of nicotine when vaping.

I've seen many threads about people who get headaches from vaping too much, since it is a diuretic.

I've heard it said that hiccups can be a symptom of too much nicotine for some people.

I've found this to be true for me. If I chain vape or raise my nic level and if I don't pause between toots I get em bad. As a matter of fact I just got em Monday night when I went from 18mg to 24mg. Had em for 3 hours straight until I couldn't take it anymore. Good ol teaspoonful of sugar and a cup of water knocked em right out.

If I get hiccups (and I bleeping hate hiccups, annoying as bleep), I just exhale ALL the air out of my lungs and pretend I'm in outer space doing an airlock transfer and see how long I can go before inhaling. The longer I hold my breath (30 seconds, usually), the quicker I get rid of hiccups.

It's all just a matter of holding your breath in your lungs (empty or full) as long as you possibly can. Hiccups go bye bye each and every time.

Nice to see I'm not alone! haha

I've not really been trying any hiccup-away techniques recently as the bouts only last for a few. But I usually go for the holding breath one first. My buddy was explaining one where you lean super far forward and drink water. Sounded like a way to make a mess or a fool of me haha so I didn't try it
