Cool, good to know.....thanks buddy! Yeah I saw Scott Bonner's review of it and he mentioned that it can take some "unorthodox" methods of coiling/wicking to get it to vape well.....I saw some videos on Youtube of people doing "stretched out" coils on the Strata (there's a name for this that escapes me ATM) and that seems to work pretty well.....

I guess I will give it a go at some point......seems like a fun little project anyway (once you figure it out!) :)
I think you may be thinking of the ophinion coil?
Back when I had my strata (now strikes strata lol) I tried one of those build and was not a fan. My personal favorite build was a single coil with one neg post removed with the coil mounted directly over the hole.
Lined one of the airflow holes directly in front of the coil and dropped the wicks into both sides of the well. Vaped amazing and held like 25 drops.
My favorite part of the strata was the throat hit. Wide open it was a smooth vape but once it was closed up a bit the TH intensified like crazy.
If I had the funds I'd probably buy another one!

Got this interesting dripper from Neovapetek called the Venturi. Similar design to the Cats dripper. Still playing around with some builds but so far it's performing pretty good. When I get home from work I'm going to pop this bad boy on the MCR Hybrid adapter.

That looks great StrikeIII, where or when can I get one?

I've flirted with the idea of purchasing an XXIX for a while now, but haven't pulled the trigger. I'm not sure why, but I'm just not into the engraving and the hole on the switch button and the idea of a hybrid adapter instead of a top cap. I know that people love them and I wish only the best for James and would love to support an American modder, but I just don't think that it's for me. I saw a good deal on some used 18350 XXIX and Surfrider tubes recently and bought them. I didn't have any copper 20x1 threaded switches and top caps to pair with the XXIX so I purchased a Versa switch and top cap that arrived today. I hope I'm not offending anyone with my new Frankenmod:

I also tried the Versa switch and top cap on my GP Paps v3 LUX tube, but I don't think that you guys are ready for that yet.
Looks excellent. That said the xxix switch is one of the best I've ever used. Also the hybrid adapter is part of what gives the xxix such great performance. The xxix is designed for function above all else and in that regard it delivers in spades. Your little frankenmod is nice though. Xxix tubes are 20 x 1 and easy to get so they work wonderfully for doing that sort of thing.

I have some other 20x1 hybrid adapters that I can use so I don't feel that I'm missing out there. The XXIX and Surfrider tubes are shorter than other 20x1 tubes of the same battery size (because they're designed to use with a hybrid adapter) so I think that it can be tough to find a top cap that will thread on without gaps or at all (if one is so inclined to deviate from the intended design). The Versa top cap has a floating pin (with a telescoping pin that I removed for this configuration) and I can only use it to fit atomizers with adjustable center pins screwed all the way in to avoid gaps (fortunately you can get adjustable center pins for a R91 and use them in a KFL).

I have been wondering about putting a BCV switch on my paps lux 650 tube's n tops not going to work huh?

I would think that you could put an XXIX switch on a GP Paps tube. The XXIX "top cap" should work on the GP Paps tube like any other hybrid adapter (good or bad depending on an atomizer's adjustable center post). What doesn't work is putting a GP Paps v3 top cap with a GPin on an XXIX tube with any switch - it doesn't even catch on the threads of the XXIX tube (when using the battery designed to work with the given tube size).

How bout a gp paps cap/tube and a BCV switch? Or a paps tube and BCV hybrid top and switch? The first is what I'm considering, also considering trading lux 2.5 for XXIX or SR...

I would think that the former would work, and the BCV switch is adjustable too. You might have trouble with the latter, depending on how much you adjust the switch and how far an atomizer's adjustable center pin sticks out. If you're not sub-ohming you could try to eliminate battery rattle with a mechanical fuse (or a few).

Guys i know everyone gets hot in the pants about the GP line, but isses with hot springs and such have kept me away. Im not a huge fan of the look really but te switch is bomb.

That said they are too pricey for my pocketbook for what you get. I hate paying extra for different size tubes. I guess thats why i love te nemesis so much.

In other news, ive held off the hype for months, but my Magma RDA is in the mail. Pretty excited about it once i understood how it works.

Does anyone else with a Magma feel its the best flavor atty outthere? Literally all reviews said it so im wondering. Any issues either?
