i have had much success with perpendicular builds for the tobh....just a suggestion....

What a coincidence evgeny131, before I built this one I googled a picture with the intention to try a new build, and it was your picture, the one above that I decided on!! Although I think it is a beautiful build and an excellent idea, I just wasn't sure I wanted to keep all three holes open and I couldn't see a way to close off the holes with the perpendicular build, so I opted not to try it. But I was going to try it on the quasar since I can control the air flow without the little tabs on the deck, definitely going to give it a shot :)

BTW, is that 22 gauge? And what size bit are you using for the wrap?

I still have not found anything that hits as hard as the Stingrays...except maybe the SloJo by Celtic mods. The difference is not subjective, it is significantly different than all the other mods I own. I have a XXIX all copper mod on the way and I hope it is similar to the Stingrays in terms of conductivity...just makes such a difference when using sub ohm builds with regards to flavor, vapor, TH and overall battery performance :)

That one on the left is the best looking Stingray I've seen to date.

I watched a conductivity video for the brass Manhattan the other day and it really makes me want one. That and I want a nice full brass mod, its 24mm but that doesnt bother me. Thinking of selling some stuff like my Microstick / Spheroid to finance the purchase.

22awg "nuke" hotwires by chadster....since then i stopped using it, in general- 22awg was too hot...
this build is 0.10ohms and i only had it for a few days to mess around....
the drill bit is 2.5mm? im not quite sure- to be honest i use a standard ss nail flathead...lol

You will love the xxix. According to jkuro who does the voltage drop tests on cv, the xxix (well the bfm also) is the most conductive mod out there. In his testing there was. 000 voltage drop. Meaning it was below his measurable threshold and as far as I know other than the bfm is the only mod tested so far that can claim that. I've never vaped anything that hits as hard as those two mods.

Anatolian w/Veritas RDA in Hybrid Mode. I don't know how I feel about the Anatolian. I just got it today. I cannot get the mod to fire without using the Hybrid connector. When I use the regular 510 Top Cap, there is excessive battery rattle even with the pins extended out all the way. I am using AW 18490 batteries in the mod and I also tried an Efest 18500 - same deal. I am going to play with it some more and hopefully get it to work. If not, then back it goes..... :(

EDIT: I just saw that Anatolian is on Holiday for the next 2 months....Guess I'll have to use it as-is. The good news is that a Heron works Excellent on it!! :D

Well, I think I got the Anatolian to fire with the 510 Top Cap. However, I have to literally unscrew the center pin down to its last thread to get rid of battery rattle! I am emailing Barbaros right now to ask him what kind of battery he recommends for use with the Anatolian, because the AW 18490 seems to be too short....maybe it's just my mod? not sure...

Other than that it is VERY nice. There is no locking mechanism on the mod so you have to be careful....Any RDA I've put on in hybrid mode looks KILLER....I am defintiely warming up to this mod!! :)

My 510 center pin did not screw into the Delrin insulator all of the way and it was recessed a bit and my KFL would not fire on it. I was hesitant to force it into the Delrin and strip some silver plating, so I sanded a mm or so from the top of the insulator and that fixed the problem for me. I only have an 18350 tube, but I recently similarly saw someone complaining about battery rattle on the 18490/18500 tube on the Anatolian FB group (he was a bit angry and sour and no one else acknowledged a problem including Barbaros). As you know, I was not enamored with the Anatolian (and I really wanted to like it) and I'm hesitant to buy more tubes and parts. I hope that you can find a solution. If you don't sub-ohm, you could try to put in a mechanical fuse to eliminate the battery rattle (like a Vape2Safe).

Yeah, that's something to think about. Unfortunately I DO Sub-Ohm with my drippers (usually .6 - .8 Ohms), so I don't know about a fuse...

I was able to get my Patriot to fire on the mod using the 510 conn, but could not get my Veritas or my Quasar to fire. It's weird because the Hybrid adapter works awesome. And I actually prefer the hybrid look, so I likely won't use the 510 top cap all that much anyway.

But you know how when something's new you want it to work right out of the box? With this, not so much...The battery tube is definitely too long, because you have to extend the center pin WAAAY out down to the last thread to get the battery to just barely stop rattling....

I am going to try sanding down the insulator a bit, as the delrin is too long and "blocks" the silver pin from poking through the top to make contact with my attys (sounds like same prob. you had)

Thanks for the tips, Firestorm!! :)

I just emailed Barbaros to see if he has any recommendations to resolve these issues. I told him I love the mod, I just want it to work properly...I was very nice about it (not like the guy in the FB group)....

Thanks Chadsmo...it is a very interesting process regarding the patina on this red copper mod. At first it turns from an alnmost pinkish copper to a more rusty look, then to a purple and blue patina, and now as you can see it has turned to a gold/yellow with green undertones :) I wonder what is next?

I'll have to check out the brass Manhattan :)

I just checked this out with mine and I too have to use the very last thread on the pin. I've honestly never noticed it, having never used the top cap, lol. My Ana has had a Heron on top since day one. ;)

<RANT>

I just went back to find that post, and it's gone. I've seen it happen before in that group when a negative post gets deleted (and I'm not talking about abusive posts). It's hard for me to be a big fan of a modder who has something to hide and I think that when you surround yourself with fanboys and only drink their Kool-Aid that it's hard for it not to go to your head.
