Got my XXIX in yesterday! Pictures to come. I think I may polish it up before taking pictures though. It hasn't left my hand since it arrived so it has a little bit of patina. I am really enjoying this mod. Super simple design and it just works, no fiddling at all. There is also a huge difference in voltage drop compared to what I am used to. My build in my Odin seems 10X more intense when it is running on the XXIX vs any of my other mods. It is quite astonishing really. I thought I wouldn't even notice the difference. Overall I am very pleased. Now I just need that package Bill sent me to arrive to complete the setup!

@jpcwon

I'm sure a micro coil will produce much more vapor. My first build last week is still on there. 28g 7 wrap 2mm ID 1.2 ohms. Its on my Wizard Evolved at 20 watts. Great flavor and vapor.

Thanks so much for the tip, Sedge!! I will definitely give that a try! Yeah I'm not crazy about the build I have in here now. I think I will pull it out this afternoon and try a micro coil......I will let you know how it goes! :)

^^^Gorgeous setup, Jax!! I love the copper AFC on the Magma!! :)

Thanks JP! I thought it made for a nice look as well.

The Stingray came with what I guess is a hybrid connection? I've never used one before. Only been at this for 4 months now. It is a brass disc with two holes in it at 180º from each other. I assume it is to make a direct connection from the atty to the battery. Is that correct? I'm not sure I'd like the look of that with the missing copper ring on the top cap. Is there enough of a benefit to do that?

Your atty will be in direct contact with the battery if you use the hybrid adapter. It should lower the voltage drop slightly and also reduces the height of the mod a bit.

My PB Stingray did not come with a hybrid adapter but I bought one from FusionMods. I think that hybrid adapters are fun to play with but not for practical daily use. Newer atomizers like the Stillare, TOBH, Odin, etc. have protruding positive pins that make them easier to use with an adapter as others may not protrude past the disc (possibly resulting in a dead short). Atomizers with telescopic pins are also good to use to help to accommodate different battery configurations if you require adjustments to reach the battery without rattle. The Stingray's telescopic switch works beautifully with a hybrid adapter or the top cap with the floating pin to accommodate different battery and atomizer combinations.

I recently got the Anatolian hybrid adapter v2. The disc is 20x1 threaded and it has telescoping pins instead of using the atomizer to make direct contact with the battery. Some people may scoff at that, but if you're just looking for the hybrid look and don't care about direct connections it's really useful for 20x1 threaded mods (not the Stingray of course).
