And thanks to qorax's influence, I have an Erlkonigin (and nano kit) on the way from InTaste. I found the 500+ page thread here on it, and it seems to be quite the atty. Not sure why I wasn't paying attention to it all this time.

'Cause you were stuck in the High-End Mech thread? :D

Okay you guys. I got my Atlantis in today. Have it sitting on my 120w Raptor Box at 4.6 volts.

All I have to say is WOW....who knew that a Clearo could put out like this?! I'm seriously impressed!!

Guilty as charged.

Anyway, I'm now 2 for 2 on bad DNA40 boards. In addition to my Vapor Shark, my Vapor Flask showed up now with the same problems. Still haven't heard from Vapor Shark, but Vapor Flask replied to me right away and is getting it resolved (hopefully). Guess I just have bad luck, lol.

Had to post this quote about the DNA40 from am member of a FB group I am in:
"IMO. Many of the problems with this new approach is correct setup. Stay within the parameters. Less than .1 ohm works but the board is no longer at 100%. The next are the coils, I tried every gauge from 26 to 34g and have settled on a double twisted 34g. Size of the coils, I have gone to 3 to 4 mm slightly spaced coils. Tried my favorite kanthal type micro compressed coil with nickel and they did not work. The touching coils with the lower resistance of nickel tend to short with temperature expansion, causing .14 o to jump down to much less than .1 o and the temp protection to turn on almost immediately with little vapor. As far as temperature setting I have never seen a need to go over 450F and mostly use 400 to 420F. Those having problems try lowering the temp and raising the watts. Reaching temp protection is not a bad thing. The last point is wicking. My goal on the taifun was to have a coil that properly wicked would maintain close to 40 watts on the draw and reach temp protection between my long double draws. This needed extreme wicking and finally achieved with a 4mm using loosely packed hemp fiber. So now I have taifuns that go thru a full tank and every draw is perfect. IMO even better than my droppers."

I've never used a BVC coil or this type of tank (Atlantis), but from what I've seen i.e. Busardo, it looks very interesting.
Do you rebuild the coils? Or do you use replaceable?

I just ordered a 5-pack of replacement coils from Yeti Vapes, but I am definitely going to try rebuilding the coil I have in there now when it kicks the bucket.....I rebuild my wife's Protank heads all the time for her, so I am sure I can figure it out (I hope!).....We shall see... :)

I think most of this is true. The DNA40 is an entirely new animal to be tamed. It takes practice to find out what works well and what does not.

I'm currently wrapping spaced coils with 30g Nickel 7 or 8 wraps around a 3mm mandrel. Comes out to .15 ohms. I am only using it on my Erlks. I wick with about 1/3 of the Sally's rayon strand and don't use anything down the channels. I just cut off the ends right at the bend in the channel similar to the way I wicked my SQr.

I vaped this setup at 23w and 480F all day today without any issues be they wicking or leaking and it performed awesomely.

Ordered a Single 26650 SX 60w box and a Dual 26650 SX 100w box by a company called VapeDroid. I will provide some Pics when I receive them in a couple of weeks.

They make DNA 40 boxes as well.

Those enclosures are on my list. I really like all the 3D print options there are for mods now!

I favor the flask looking DNA enclosure, it is a little higher on my list soon as I get some working DNA40 boards.
