Yeah, I kinda got that. Just wondering what wattage to run a 1.2 ohm build to equal the same power I was getting from running a 0.3 ohm build on a fresh battery on a mech. I know the ohms law but confused as to how to relate it to this application. I just want to run the same power on my regulated devices as on my mechs. I used to run my Kayfuns and tanks at 0.8 ohms and drippers at 0.3 ohms on VTC 5's.

Since reading this OP I've converted to using thin wire (30g) and higher volts (vs watts) for a more consistent (and better) vape on my regulated mods.
At LR resistances (1. to 2 ohms) you get good coil surface area, and the thinner wire actually cools down better so at higher voltages you get a smoother vape. DNA 30 and 40 type devices can go up to 9v.
My setup on my DNA30 is 2.2 ohms and at 18watts its 6.8v.

Of course if you have a dual coil dripper you can still go with .3 ohms on a big wattage device, but for me i mostly use single coil RTA type atomizers.
And my only dual coil attys are for my LR Reo.

oops. go to first post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ub-ohm-latest-vv-vw-devices.html#post14317506

So what's everyone building their atty's at? I'm not used to building this high yet but found that above or around 1 ohm. Currently running dual coil Origen dripper at 1.2 ohms and Kayfun at 1.4 ohms, both with 28 gauge A-1 kanthal. Run it at 27 watts and with the Origen and 12 watts with the Kayfun

I vape Erlks on DNA30s and one DNA40. No Ni200 wire yet so still using Kanthal on all.

I have typically been building right around 1.0 - 1.1 ohms and vape that between 22 - 24w on each on the Flasks and WAE II.

For a comparison, I vape my MuteX with a 0.34 build on my Stingray X right around 52w with a fully charged battery.

Granted, it is a fuller, more luxurious vape on the MuteX but I am satisfied with my vaping experience on the ErlKs and my reg. mods at the wattage I am running. Probably could turn it up a bit but satisfied nonetheless atm.

From my past experience with Kayfun's I normally run it 0.8-1.5 ohms depending on juice. 11-14.5 watts seems to be the sweet spot. On my AGA-T5 and Zenith I use 24 gauge GPlat Red wires; 8 wraps on a 7/64 at 0.37 ohms from 22.5-28 watts. I find it tasting cleaner/brighter compared to Kanthal. Check out the pic on my dripper, that coil is probably two days old using dark high VG juice. Easy to wrap with no dry burning/squeezing with tweezers required! (there's a video on how to use GPlat on Youtube correctly). I prefer single coils over dual coils. Any of you guys/gals single coilers as well?

0.3 ohms on a fresh battery would equate to 45.63333-59.7999 watts depending on voltage drop of your mod/atomizer/battery/contacts..
You would need to crank your wattage between 45.63333-59.7999 watts at 1.2 ohms or 7.4-8.5 volts depending on which VW/VV device you have to get the same power! :)

Has any one used "The Big Dripper" a buddy of mine showed me his yesterday. The concept of having a tank on top of a dripper is awesome. All he had to do was press the DT to drop ejuice to the dripper.

Yup it's brilliant! It's in my vapor flask right now... Almost perfect

I have one, it is pretty cool, like a reverse reo with more options as you use it on any mod. I do not find it to be the most flavorful, but it is no slouch.

I have my eye on this one though
