So it's been about a month since I started vaping and quit smoking. I haven't touched an analog since, and so far I've been vaping 6mg on all my juices, but lately I've been feeling like it's not enough and need to bump up the nicotine level. I vape maybe three times a day for about 45 minutes each time with pulls every couple minutes or so. Has anyone else been in the same boat? Am I heading in the wrong direction?
6mg is a very low level of nic. How often and how much did you smoke a day? If you were a heavy smoker and smoked strong cigarettes 6mg is not going to be a high enough level.
Just like with smoking when stressed you smoked more, when stressed you'll vape more....we gave up smoking but still the nic fits are present....you can purchase nic by itself to add a few drops to your vape when in need of a bit more nic to curb that craving.
But honestly this is normal. I only smoked 4 times a day but finding myself vaping more often but there again that's because I do vape at a lower nic level than I smoked and well I enjoy vaping.
When vaping for nic fix I vape at 24 mg or higher. When vaping for pleasure I vape at 16 mg or under.
I've been vaping for about 7 months now, completely quit smoking about 3 months ago.
Also try when vaping to instead of taking the vapor into your lungs cycle it from mouth directly out nostrils and you'll probably notice more of a nic fix...nic is absorbed quicker in nasal than in the mouth and throat and from what I've read isn't really absorbed in the lungs like smoking was so there's little to no point to drag into lungs other than for the pleasure (which I do as well for the fulfillment of the "smoking feeling") I tend to do every other draw into lungs and then straight to nostrils.
also it could be the device you are using...personal experience the cigarette-look-a-likes just don't cut it...
feel free to ask more questions and give us some more info about your old smoking habits and what you are currently using as your personal vapor and we can hopefully help you find something that suits your needs better.
