So I got an ego-c almost two months ago and love it and it has kept me off analogs ever since. Just wondering if I should upgrade to the provari v2 since I love vaping so much? Also are carts and attys more expensive or should I said provari's maintenance more expensive? All answers are welcome! thanks!

The best vape is the one that keeps you off analogs, imho. If you are fully satisfied with your setup, there's little need to upgrade, except unless.. you just want to

ProVari is an exceptional device, and if you want it and are okay with the price, go for it - you have next to no chance of disliking it. I'm not sure that you need it, so I can't tell you that you should get it.

Atties and carts?! No.. you must have read something old or wrong. Don't go near that type of setup.

With a ProVari, you'll also need to get at least a couple of batteries that fit (either 18490 or 18650 with extension cap), a charger and pretty much every 510 attachment then fits on it. With a cheap adapter, if you really-really must, you can use the same atty-tanks that go on your eGo-C.

But basically, you'd start with a few good standard resistance cartomizers, a couple of good quality standard resistance atomizers and go from there. There are various options - clearomizers of various sorts, tanks for cartos, top feeder systems for atomizers - hell, you can try them all...

I run cheap boge 3ohm cartos on my Provari. I dial the voltage till I find the sweet spot for that flavor. A few days of vaping, and the carto starts to taste off....meh....toss it, and load a new one.

i have the provari mini with a dct tank. 3.0 ohm carto in the center. works great for me. no leaking like the ego c tanks like to do. couldn't stand the tanks on my ego c. also just like the ego c tanks the cartos can be reused. boil them for 15 mins 2 or 3 times and let dry.

How much smaller is the provari mini. Other than size is it the same. Does it still last longer then ego-c 650mah?

As for the other guy, I need a 510 attachment? I thought the threads were 510?

Do they make a protective cone over cartos like they do for egos?

Attachment - I mean atomizer, cartomizer etc. (the thing that vapes). Anything 510 fits.

For attachments made for eGo (that use the "skirt" or the "cone thread" of the eGo) you also need a 510-to-eGo adapter.

Hi bobby, The mini can have a 700mAH battery in standard form with the 18350 or 1100 mAh with the 18490+extender cap. Either would outlast a 650mAh ego. Reason 1 the provari uses a boosted rail setup to achieve higer voltage(read efficient) reason 2 the imr battery that goes into the provari has a better C rating (higher amperage output) than any compact ego sized battery. So those two things in concert with one another and the rest of the complete package along with the ability to actually adjust your vape to Your style or mood and selected equipment allows you to find that just right, that you might not even know you are missing.

Well typically the ego 650mah will last me a little bit more then a half of a day. Do you think the provari mini would last me the whole day with or without extension? The provari just seems too big! I have to carry it around in my skinny jeans. My three legs will turn to four! Haha

As for the cover I asked because the cone has prevented me from breaking my cartomizer on my ego and on the provari it seems the cartomizer is destined to break on a fall without a cone.

You can generally depend on 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge.

I'm wondering are you looking for:
stronger TH?
More vapor?
longer batt life?
More stylish PV? may sound crazy but many buy on impulse and looks.
Usually the upgrade steps are:
mini Ecig > 3.7 Volt > VV.
I've got a Don and Provari and I rarely use the Provari.

Edit: at this point there are many inexpensive VV starting to show up in the marketplace driving price competition.

Try the Lava Tube first its a lot cheaper and you can always move to a PV afterwards, probably what I plan to do. or if money is no object get the PV

I agree, I have been very happy with my Lavatube. Now that I have it though, I would like a Provari. Just cannot afford it yet. Lava is a good way to see if you like VV vaping! I will say that I LOVE VV vaping. To be able to dial in your juice to that perfect taste, throat hit, and vapor! You cannot go wrong!

Isn't the lavatube huge though? That's what's got me wanting the pv mini cause I think the provari is large and I think the lavatube is even larger! Does it have all the same safety features?

Also to the other guy who said work my way up from 3.4 ego to 3.7 and so on, why go through all that and not just get the best? It'd be cheaper in the long run rather then buying all those?

That's why I asked the above questions to try and find what you want/ need or why you feel the need to move up. I've got many friends that are extremely happy with a 3.7 volt while some others have moved up to diff Mods. Some buy because they need a stronger hit while others are sold on what they read. IMHO the Provari is not the best PV out there but has been marketed quite well and was one of the first VVs to be released. With some VVs there is actually a continual never ending waiting list.

I'm the same "guy"
Many times it's not so much the PV but the juice and the accesories. Here's a video showing the ST 1.7 XL cartos. LOTS of vapor. use them and love them on my 3.7 Don. Kgo/ Riva or EPower also work well with this carto- Kgo/ Riva about $40 for starter kit. Only diff is I use 2400 mah batts and a tank. There's great tanks and horrible ones out there.
