Little update for those who might not have seen theirs yet. Still wiring up mods tonight and will hopefully have these wired up tomorrow when this last coat dries.
I am hoping to have most of them done in time to mail out Tues so that everyone has them before Christmas.

Thank you for this quick answer
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just saw on the RTD forum that their batteries have clears customs and are back in stock. The Pila Charger will work with 18350 with an extra spacer. You can buy aluminum spacers on the same site,

15mm Charging Spacer

or use a large steel nut or ball bearing.

Thanks for the help about RTD- have the batteries ordered now-plus a new pawn for "Candy" when she comes.
Very stressful day , but am sitting here smiling now, -hog mod people and MIKE are just the best !!
Weather is changing here in Pa again and parrots are like colicky 2 year old's with air pressure change.
(Not sure if men feel pressure changes also, but mine has been a pia all day-LOL !!)
coming here cheered me up no end-

You are very welcome. Do you have some type of a spacer? You WILL need one to charge 18350's in your Pila. But it doesn't have to be a specially made spacer. I just used a large nut from a bolt for several weeks.

Hope your day gets better :) Just think about that new Hog and pawn and it will improve!

It did get better just coming here !!!!
The Pila came with 3 spacers when I received it from RTD before.
will have to figure out how to use them but the nut idea -that one I would know about-LOL !!!

Trying to figure the pic out here-
the green "dummy" is the 18350--what size is the ultrafire ??
I have aw imr 18650's here plus ultrafires 18650 also .
Good idea in your pic--also have plenty of NUTs also.
In such a hurry on the 18350 order that I forgot about the spacer things.

That's my biggest gripe with the Pila... I'd prefer a spring loaded cradle. You'll need more than 3 of the spacers for a pair of 18350s. Here's the general idea with the scrap metal, though (I think these are 16340s, but same idea):

The green 'Dummy' is a just a spacer that looks like a battery. The poster there is showing that you can get the same effect with nuts & bolts. Presumably, the dummy battery costs a few bucks, but every tinkerer has nuts & bolts lying around. :)

I think those are 16340s in the pic, but the idea is the same. Just find a bolt that's a little shorter than the empty space in the charger, then partially thread a nut to make it snug.
