Ok update for those whom are waiting, got 3rd coat on most and 2nd coat on the linseed oil one, that one takes 24 hours between coats instead of 12 hours. On this batch we've got 3 tung oil, 1 danish oil, and 1 linseed. I think at this point I'm liking the tung oil best but we'll see after all the coats are on and they have been buffed out.

Again I will be doing these on a first come, first serve after its posted as available. As I'm just starting out and have limited supply I'll try to make it fair and post at a few diff times of the day. Depending on when the new buttons get here, I might have Them available Thurs or Fri. I'll try to give a little advance notice of when I'll be posting them as available.

Starting to come along now, Far left is Danish oil, middle 3 are Tung oil, Far right is Linseed oil.

And yup, I'm still claiming the center one, I'll have my very own Hog Mod!

Wow that was super fast, just shipped it Sat, didnt think you'd get it till Wed.

I keep hearing about Malty Toffee, I'm gonna have to break down and order some juice one of these days when I can manage to scrounge up a few bucks. Really want to try out some of the BWB juices. Right now I just Mix my own using tobacco absolute and seedmans flavors.

Hey, looks like I get to become an ECF Vetran today to.

Hog #2 is at her new home as well. :D She's a real beauty!!

This mod is truly beautifully made and fits together perfectly! Door is nice and snug, snaps to the body just as anyone would want it to. The magnets are a great feature on opposite top and bottom corners. Everything on the inside is nice and clean and done well.

I'm a carto lover, so I've tried dual coils (no air flow at all, so those are a no go), 2ohm Boges (holy warm!), and 3ohm Boges (just right! :)). The Boge draw is tighter on this mod, but I'm adapting. I really love 901 LR attys, but the adapter hole is too small to let the stainless steel feed tube go in it. I'll have to locate a 2.5ohm 510 atty and give that a go when I order something again.

The feed is flawless. I give it one good push, see a bit of vapor come out of my drip tip, hear the "squonk" and I'm good to vape. Lovely! :D

I'm off to photograph my new baby. I'll post a shot in a bit. :)

I'd love to see it Rockproof, post a pic of it up here.
I tried following the thread on that OKR-T chip, and got a bit lost when they started talking about zener diodes and stuff. I really need to see something to be able to make it. I dont follow the wiring schematics very well. God knows I'm not having much luck on the PTR8100 chip, I still cant figure out what im doing wrong with those. got one working correctly and four that just put out .59v to the atty
Heck I'm a big dirty contruction worker not an EE major.

Glad you like you like it BiancaMontgomery. Please let me know if your not happy with that finish I had to redo so I know what to stamp on the next one coming your way. =)

Hog,

I built it exactly like the original OP posted (followed the diagram below not any schematics as I can’t read schems yet myself).

Easy_VV.jpg

Works like a charm with a 3.6-6.6v range with stacked 16340’s. I didn’t follow any of that stuff about zenner diodes…either as the original OP post indicated all the fancy stuff wasn’t necessary. Let me find some batts for my camera (I have plenty of 14500’s but no AA’s…go figure) and I’ll get some pics up.

oh I also had some diff atties that didnt fit the Feeder tube, I think it just varies by brand, not sure though. I just took a dremel with one of those tiny little ball grinder tips and enlarged the hole in the atties then blew some pg through it to make sure I didnt leave any small shavings in it.
And since I dont have any other mods, could someone let me know if this is a common thing with other bottom feeders or not?
maybe I just need to find a hair smaller feeder tube. any smaller though and I think it would greatly hinder the juice flow.

I had a REO Mini for a while (batt life was, well, a 14500, nuff said, but great mod) and it didn't have a tube going up into the atty/carto at all and it worked great.
