I have a question for the group.

I have been using smok Tech DCC's for several months and just love them. I have always filled them by removing the rubber stopper and dripping down the sides into the filler. Works great, and I never had one burn out or burn the filler.

A friend at work bought another brand (smok), and has been filling them as I have. She has had several Pop (burn out) and has visible burning to the filler on others.

Now here is where it get interesting. Going to the site that sells them there is a graphic showing that they should be filled through the bottom, threaded end.

I know with a bottom feeder the joose goes up through the bottom. But does it matter with a non feeder? Is one method more correct or better than the other?

Maybe I have been doing this wrong all along - but it has been working great for me.

Any thoughts?

He is charging over $200 for them, but from what I can see they are made to last a lifetime and beyond and rebuilding the atty seems very easy.

Ok, well not particularly well known for my restraint, I'm about to find out. :)

I picked up a rare beast, the Hybrid Mini, on the classifieds. It's along the same ilk as the Zenesis, but has the thumb button instead of the bottom one. Once I get a little proficient with the rebuildable wick, I'm curious if one could mod a bulli A2 (non 'T' version) to work on a Hog. I read one post where a guy was going to drill the feed hole through it... I'll have to see if I can find that and what the results were...

After that, though, I should pretty much be set. Rebuildable atty for my hog and an all-in-one rebuildable tank tube mod. Of course, back to that restraint issue, I already had a provari and a scubagen tank en route when the listing for the hybrid mini came up. Dunno wth I'm going to do with those now. On the plus side, it's the new limited edition blue LED, so I don't think I'd have much trouble flipping it solely on being able to beat the lead time.

If those VV general sale Hogs come up this month I'll be in a quandry. Logic will say that VV isn't all that important when you can wrap your own coils, but... let's be honest here. Of Course I'm gonna want one!

Forgot I shot this of the last one to highlight the Arm-R-Seal finish.

Keep in mind that certain woods will not take this finish. Mainly woods of the rosewood family (rosewoods, cocobolo, bocote, etc.) Same goes for any high wax woods such as Vera wood.
These woods will have more of a matte finish or finished with Teak Oil.

Interiors are now finished with a carnuba/beeswax/mineral oil.
Non-toxic and food safe. Should have no odor unless you have a very sensitive nose.
