sighhhhh, I had the Blue in my cart yesterday and even put in my CC info but chickened out at the last second. Look at how good looking the Blue is though, for the price it is extremely hard to resist, it is better than a 2 for 1 sale.

I am looking at all my current mods and thinking hmmmmmm, I could sell a few and feel justified in getting another G2. The RX200 and RX200S are disappointments compared to the G2 anyways and selling them both will pay for another G2.

You shouldn't get another G2 because we haven't seen this good of a price on it since ever, it's like your buying one at a discounted price of $110 and then there throwing in a second one for free. $60 for a mod that was selling for around $150 at one time and probably has the best chip in the industry, geez, what else do I have to say so you won't buy another

All good points @mjag. Plus, the G2 refurb is cheaper than buying just the FSK board. Cloudy Vapor has them for $77 (currently have a July 4th sale of 25% off, which brings it to $57.75). For the same price, one could get the whole mod.

Do you know the Cloudy Vapor coupon code? I wish they still carried the Hohm Slice, I would probably get another with that discount. Might pick up some of the Hohm 26650's though, decent price with the discount and there good batteries.

Code is 25forthe4th. I have to say I was unimpressed with the performance of the Hohm 26650s compared with the Basen blacks. Less run time and greater sag.

Playing with the newly arrived G2 today makes the contrast with the build quality of the Slice even more apparent. Thinking seriously about selling my Slice plus the batteries. It will help offset the cost of the third G2 that I'm finding impossible to resist (just gotta have a red one!).

The Red one is my favorite by far, I love it and it is the first red mod I have owned, was never interested in red until I saw this one. Just got my black G2 refurb and it is pristine, looks pedestrian next to the red though. Who am I kidding, I will probably order the blue G2. I saw someone post once "I can resist anything but temptation" sure is true in this case.

I haven't noticed the difference between the Hohm 26650 and the Basen, both good batteries for me so far.

Too bad about your Slice, I really like mine a lot and it fits in my cup holder in the car much better than the G2 so I can easily take the FSK goodness on the road with me.

I just got a VT133 today as well but am so use to using Hohm mods that the learning curve for the DNA200 board will be a little rough. Sure is a lot more button combinations with the DNA200 than the FSK when used in XXX mode. The VT133 is a nice mod but since I also ordered a Triade DNA200 I might just sell the VT133 down the raod, maybe replace it with the Blue G2....hmmmm.

The stupid FDA sure has cost me a lot of money with this hoarding, I could open up a little vape shop with all the stuff I bought in the last few months.......sure has been fun though.

Honestly, I would not want to wish the Hohm Slice on anyone else. I have had it for about a week now. Performs great, its just not a solid device. I'll probably keep it in my lineup, but I don't see myself traveling with it (too bulky). I'd rather throw it out than give it away to someone else. Sorry Hohm Tech. Maybe you will see this and reach out to all of your customers and send them a Slice "2" when quality has been addressed, rather than requiring customer to use duct tape to fix a flawed design.

When I buy my next mod, it will probably be a G2 or the new Lost Vape Therion DNA 75. LOVE the look of that thing, just waiting for a few more reviews to come in.

Love the G2, a bit aggravated the price dropping so low after spending $136 for mine...could have gotten two at the current pricing.

Could be. I seem to recall seeing something about it, but may be mistaken. In any case, if one is announced I will absolutely not be pre-ordering it after my Slice experience. I'll wait until a good number of actual users (not reviewers) have them in hand and give their feedback on it.

I trust the new chip will be solid; hopefully the build quality will be more at the G2 level and not the Slice level.

Got the red G2 in today. As with the Blue refurb, the case is flawless. Not a single scratch, ding or dent anywhere. For its maiden vape I’m using a Griffin with dual Ti coils (7 wrap, spaced, 26g, 2.5mm). Vapes like a dream.

The red hue is unusual. It has some orange tone to it and the color will change a bit depending on how the light hits it. Very distinctive – it’s not at all like other red mods I have (or have seen). Very glad I yielded to temptation and got a third G2.

Yeah, sometimes it is red and sometimes burnt orange, depends on the lighting. I am hoping my Blue arrives today, that would be nice.

The only color I wasn't impressed with is the Black, I don't know what I was expecting but it just doesn't have that pop like the other colors do. I guess because it looks so pedestrian compared to the others, I am spoiled

Got a blue G2 refurb in today.
Updated just fine using Windows 10.
Went to xxx mode set 13.5% for SS430 turned on the Auto+ TC to 51%
Very nice vape on my Aromamizer Supreme.

It's a big mod (compared to the VT133), very squared off,
Screen is not level.
Battery door is off by 1/16 inch at the top of the mod and really clicky.
Just waiting to hear what can be done for the noisemaker.
I'll live with the crooked screen, as I don't see it as a rule.

For the sale price on the refurb, great mod. Retail price? Not for me.

Just remembered this thread, there is new update for the G2, came out about a week or 2 ago. The new update has made the preset SS much better now and the battery life has improved. I am using the SS presets much more now, only use the xxx mode for kanthal as I am just use to it over the kanthal tc setting.
