The Slice would be just about perfect if they put the FSK board into the Vapor Flask Stout. I love my Stout but it is not match for the performance of the Slice.

Love that idea, and I would buy a Stout in an instant if it had the FSK chip. Alas, I doubt we will ever see this.

There's an update for the Slice firmware - 1.2.3 (mine came shipped with 1.2.1). The "what's new" lists the following:
1. Temp Control “Instafire” feature integrated (initiates power immediately)
2. SS Mode displays all SS vape permutations
3. Ceramic Infused parameters expanded
*all Slice models (LE & SE) manufactured after 6/16/2016 will have this and/or newer version firmware.

Also, a video was produced by HT about the Slice:

Can someone use TC with kantal?
I set the kantal percentage but after few puff , as the coil get hot, the wattage increase instead of decrease. I use different rda and kantal 0,22 mm

@Lorenzo Morchio try setting the Slice into xXx mode and set FSK to 3%, make sure any auto modes are disabled. This usually works great for Kanthal, just adjust FSK up if it is too cold of a vape or down if it is too hot. Make sure the coils are wet and to room temperature, the FSK works differently than other TC, you have to start with a wet coil then it will vape till the cotton is dry without burning.
Thanks Mjag. I'll try this evening. I saw so many videos on YouTube showing people that can use TC in kanthal mode. I can't. I don't know if is a connection issue or my kanthal is not the right type. I ordered a 26ga now. Any suggestions on build type or about tanks I should not use?

FSK can be tricky to set with some tanks, if you want to make sure and avoid dry hits you have to keep it low as well. I have had my FSK down to 0.8% for one tank so I can vape my cotton dry with Kanthal coils. There is no 1 specific # for Kanthal as there are too many variables such as the quality of the kanthal and if it is a fancy coil like Clapton. At first it takes some time but after you figure out what works for you it gets a lot easier.
I'm really liking what this board can do! I was about to order one untill all these battery door issues popped up... such a shame! maybe future batches will have this corrected...
The battery door is clicky if I press it from the back, I just don't press it from the back. The build quality on the G2 is much better but use to be more expensive until this sale: VaporCube 4th July 2016 Sale
Not sure how much longer that sale will go on but I read someone got a refurbished G2 yesterday at the sale price. I bought 3 refurbs during this sale and all 3 are pristine condition with no problems.

I am glad I have a Hohm Slice and have not had any problems but have already gotten a chip on the paint from screwing on the tank. I really wish they added 20 or $30 to the price and upped the build quality. It is still one of my favorite mods because of the FSK chip but the build quality does have me a little worried because of what others have reported.
The refurb G2's are a steal while the sale lasts, I would not hesitate to order one of those and learning how to properly use FSK.

Not sure what your inferring, are you saying it only does 77W instead of 101? It could mean that they have an XT series coming out using the Hohm Slice board with a single 18650 so it puts out 77 watts. Really it could mean anything.
It could be anything,it could be the limitations of using a 26650,it could be all it will do is 77 watts,it could be that 101 equals 77 watts in BenWorld, I'm a bit skeptical of his stuff after the interview with Phil Busardo and that he would not sell one to Daniel at a vape convention because they were all beta products,but he was selling them to the general public.
Now I can do TC in kanthal mode. At first I used a 0,22 mm kanthal. Now with a twisted 0,44 kanthal wire it works quite well. Once I set the right kanthal parameter the power decrease as the coil dry. I have to reset the ohm reading every time I stop vaping for some time.just screw of and reattach my tank

Not sure if they updated the case but so far my door has been pretty good no clicky stuff going on, maybe over time it could be a problem Love the FSK chip tho

Just an update. Jwraps now has the hohm slice wraps available. I am waiting to see someone else's wrap pictured before I order, he should get it soon.
