Ok then Ms mechanically inclined. Take out the ground/ mounting screw, pull out the guts and get a magnifying glass. Look for the ground connection on the board, it probably goes to the heat sink since that's what the ground screw goes into, and re-solder it. Simple.

About the illustrations in this thread, all I can say is wow.................. just wow.

(I was just kidding about the major surgery.)

One hour soak in an alcohol spa, a blow (out) job, and now drying on the top fan on my computer. I know I'd be happy with that treatment! If that didn't fix it then at least I know it died happy

I've done the 1 hr bath and mine needed 6-8 hours to work properly. Then I used my wifes hair dryer on low to speed the drying. My Original Buzz has always performed perfectly after this ritual.

However, I've never had what you are describing. Mine would just "fire up" on it's own. The reason has always been juice getting under the top cap from seeping cartos.

Good luck my Dear....I'm glad you have strong back-ups. Bovinia's Back Up.jpg

The Buzz Army is always with you.....:thumb:
