Now why didn't I think of that! Going to try that next time I punch one.I also 'pin' the carto down while centered by tightening the valve body itself prior to puncture. *Charm*

Very good observation, thats the way I use the Saddle valve. Some saddle valves have a flat plate on the bottom and it does not work very well, It should be curved like the top plate and like you said, to tighten it up so both sides are equal spaced. If you don't it will slip to the side and bend the punch.I experienced the same thing at first with the Saddle Valve where the carto would be off center and the needle would tend to start to slide down the edge of the carto. After trial and error, I found the best thing for me is to rest the carto dead center in between the rubber padding, and to tighten the screws equally (I've seen some videos where folks have one side tightened down, and just tighten one side, but this always led to the carto being off center for me). Ever since I started doing that, it punches perfect every time.
I have used these in my 10 ml syringe tanks. You should be able to get something similar at the hardware store or home depot. They actually are a lot heftier than they appear on the pic in that website. The center hole is perfect for a carto with no additional tweaking needed. They are a TIGHT fit inside an ideal 10ml and took a lot of effort to get in. Here's a pic of one where I used the syringe plunger for the base and the grommet for the top cause I didn't want to waste another syringe.

Off topic post here, but I wanted to make sure you guys all saw this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...on-we-have-problem-nic-titration-results.html
I have been using the jig and punch set from Vapor-Age exclusively, and I love it. It punches nice uniform holes every time. I do have to prefill the carto before I put it in the tank. The holes seemed rather small at first, but they wick the juice in beautifully. I haven't had any flooding at all, perfect wicking. Ever since my little run of bad Boge cartos, they have been working magnificently.
Update: 3-4 fills later, I am getting that unexplained "gurgling-but-not-quite-overwicking" thing happening. Since the carto was still tasting good and vaping well otherwise, I tried a little experiment. I took off the drip tip, stuck a syringe down the side between the filler and the side of the carto and syringed a little juice out from a couple of different spots. Voila! Vaping smooth as silk again. And still fine 2 refills later.
So far, so good. I hate to retire a carto that's still working, just kills me. Yeah, blowing doesn't work. I've blown so hard I thought my head was gonna explode, but nada. Do you get that same thing? It's not quite overwicking, but just not smooth anymore.
I just blow mine out when I get any gurgling. Works every time for me. Strange???
So many variables, I guess, juice, voltage, vaping style, equipment. So far, since my little run of baddies, all of my Boge 3.0's have been super A1! I'm gonna stick with my Boge cartos, just ordered 200 of them from Boge. I did order a MV DC tank to check it out personally. Of course, I'll be cutting it down. Did you get your J tank yet?
Do they start gurgling again a few hours later? Mine do.
I cut it shorter yesterday so I could use the Boges. I like it even more now. I just don't like DC's. I'm still waiting for the Tank from ElectronicStix. I hope its here tomorrow.
