I'm so confused by all the different rba's out there. I'm sure this has been addressed here, but will the Hornet BF atomizer work on the VV Grand? If it does, does it perform well? Thanks in advance for the help!

The hornet will work on your VVG. And yes they are a great atty and will work as good as the coil and wick setup you make.
Yes and yes. I don't have a hornet but have its fatter and shorter sibling - the ERA. The hornet is very popular here since it will fit on all the Reos. The ERA will not. They are built well. Reosmods (Rob) is coming out with a new retrofitted rba in about a couple of weeks that will be half the cost of the Hornet.

My limited experience with RBA's has been a miserable failure so far. But, with the possible FDA gloom and doom making atties impossible to get, I thought I might try getting into them again.
I have one Hornet on it's way and two ERA's on their way. I have a Reo Grand now and a VV Reo Grand on it's way. Are you saying the ERA will not work????? Or will I need a special adapter???? Sorry if dumb question but I am a newbie to RBA's. Hoping I did not make an incorrect purchase????
The ERA will work just fine on both your Grand and VVG. It is too wide to fit on the mini Grand and some of the wood ones. Be prepared to spend some time getting used to any RBA. Building the coils and properly mounting them is not hard, but it is not easy either. They are small and it takes some finesse. I think you will really like them.
Thank you I was worried that I made the wrong purchase. I know it will take me awhile learning to build a coil. Gonna try to find some video tutorials with step by step instructions! LOL
And don't forget that the mini 2.1, with the widest catch cup of all the REOs will accommodate every one of the popular RBAs that are discussed on the REO threads.
ERA Atomizer Co-op - Home just got in some Hornets. They sell the SS and Torched SS. I would recommend going with the SS over the anodized aluminum, currently out of stock but sold at 310 vapers if you drop your REO on occasion as the SS is less apt to deform from a drop. Both the Anodized Aluminum and the SS use the same SS base, though.

Regular REOnauts know what my favorite RBA is but my Hornets and ERAs, Surfaces, and some A7s (especially the Mini A7) are here to stay. Excited about Robert's new RBA arriving any day. (Just ordered a fourth of my favorite and it's big brother, same build, but doesn't fit the smaller catchcups and wells.)

I believe indyvaporshop just got ERAs and hornets in as well. These guys also stock all the spare parts and stuff.

Geesh. So they already got more in and sold out. I'm guessing that was the batch they told me was two weeks out.
Well....I don't know. I was just going on what someone said earlier that they were in. Then when I checked, there were only Hornets. Possibly the ERAs haven't come in yet. Don't want to steer you wrong. I just assumed since there were none that they had already sold out. I could be wrong....
Ugh! Now I don't know if I should go with the Hornet or wait for Rob's new RBA?!?!?!
