This usually only happens with clearos and/OR drip tips. The regular cartos and the carts used on atomizers don't do this. I drip, and have at least 3 drip tips. However, I usually use the plastic carts that come on atomizers (with filler removed). They have an internal "path" for the vapor and a collection cup built into the end. The don't suffer from juice-in-mouth issues unless it's totally flooded.

So....
1) Try a plastic cart (trimmed to short length if necessary to avoid melting) on your clearo rather than a drip tip.
2) If it flooded (with gurgle) then battery was low, voltage too low, or coil is dead/gunked.

So...buy more stuff. ;)

I've had it happen with my Volt X2s with clearos too. It doesn't happen often, but it can and will if you overfill, if it's getting too much liquid into the wicks, or if you've built up condensation in the tip. If you're using manual batteries.... take your finger off the button before you finish your draw to minimize condensation. If you're hearing a gurgling sound, twist a kleenex or napkin and dry out the tip... also take the clearo off and dry any liquid that's gotten into the battery post... vape more vertically to get some of the liquid absorbed so you're not over wicking. Oh... also make sure the silver rings top and bottom of the clearo are on there securely.

I should also note you can flood cartos several ways. Some are:

Wicks allow juice into center tube...research "fluff wicks".
Drawing without having the button pressed (like when you think it's pressed, but its not).
Overfilling.

Okay now THIS. This I get. I have two batteries. Bought one auto and manual to see which I liked better. I was using the manual, and driving, and I was irritated at myself that I kept forgetting to push the button and was thinking that maybe I should stick to the autos when I'm trying to do something else important. Like drive :) Didn't know there was a built in reminder mechanism LOL Bet that helps me remember to push the dang button.

If you are going to buy more stuff and you want to avoid a repeat of hot juice on your tongue, consider a Trippy tip donut! Although I have been known to get hot juice with a short regular tip, I have never gotten it with a donut - even the little ones. Two channels makes for too far for the juice to travel I suppose. Plues, you'll be vaping with style :)

Yeah I drip and get juice all the time try inhaling a drop of juice tho. When I first got my 357 I read to take hard drags on it well stupid me I hit it like I was trying to suck my twist threw the atty it sputtered and spit and some juice hit me just right in the back of the throat that I almost puked right on my 357. Anyway lesson learned there is a difference between a hard hit like the 357 likes and a stupid hit :)
