I stay in a lot of hotels. I vape in every one of them. I have had fellow vapers in several of these and we have vaped together and never, ever had an issue. I think in general, the particles in vapor are not fine enough to trigger MOST smoke detectors.

I would not worry about it, but I would not blow my vape directly into the smoke detector, either.

Ionization detectors are less sensitive than photoelectric smoke detectors.

Don't laugh at me, should I go old school potato smoker and exhale into a towel?

Sent from my MB865 using Tapatalk 2

Back in the dorm days, we used to just take an empty roll of paper towels, stuff an end with fabric softener sheets and exhale into the other end...

I vape in hotel rooms all the time - never set off a detector. If you're really worried about it keep the a/c fan running and exhale into it. e-cigs don't smell up a room like smoke so there should never be a question of a cleaning charge even in the unlikely event that you were "busted". Even my smelliest juices clear from the air completely in 5-10 mins.

If you were really, really, really worried about it you could stealth vape . . but that's just ridiculous. You'll be fine!

My kids set off our smoke detector after their 45 minute hot showers. I would assume most smoke detectors would.

If it goes off just say you were using a vicks vaporizer on high, a portable one.

Test it out at your house. Take a puff and blow it into youe smoke detector. Took me about 50 tries when no one was home to get it to go off. I had the good sense prior to call the alarm company first.
:lol: I thought I was the only person who would try to do this. I have ADT and was told that the fire detection would detect a fire in the wall before I saw or smelled smoke. I was there at the hall censor blowing clouds of vape at it and never did get it to go off, neither the ADT, nor the regular one would go off. I was like a mad little kid:( This is what happens when you get old and have WAY too much time on your hands:rolleyes:
