HOTY rebuildable dripper

EmpireMods has a new dripper that utilizes a different adjustable draw. Not quite sure how exactly it works yet, but looks interesting. Will be ordering it soon. Anyone use the HOTY yet?

This looks to be an immortalizer clone. You adjust the airflow on the immo by loosening the top cap a little to expose the sleeve.

Indeed it does, thanks for that. I'll have to read about the Immortalizer to see people's impressions of it. Seems like a good concept for a dripper.

Searching on the HOTY it looks like it's made by Bauway.

One thing that worries me about it is how the air flow comes up from the base. I don't like the original Octopus aka Smok RDA because of that. Any juice that get's in the hole causes gurgles and eventual leakage. Since I make short wicks that sit in a pool of juice for my drippers instead of just adding enough juice to keep the wick wet, I quickly retired my Octo. Does the Immo have the same issue?

No, it works like a drip shield does. In the octopus the juice leaks out of the airhole in the base if it floods. In the Immortalizer the air flow comes from holes in the outer sleeve. The air holes are up high so no gravity leaking and excess juice ends up in the lower section of the outer sleeve. If you overdrip you will get some gurgling but then it is sucked back into the chamber and wicked up. I'm not sure if the clone works this way but I will find out soon enough, I took a chance and ordered one.

I was thinking the same thing, the price is almost 1/10th of what I payed for the immo. I don't have it anymore and honestly I do miss it. I traded it off towards a mod because I have way more attys than mods. I'm always chasing after the perfect setup. As far as perfect setups go, holy crap the kayfun lite is amazing and worth the semi steep price tag.

I'm still waiting, looks like the post office screwed up on this one. According to tracking it's stayed in the same place since Friday. I've had this stuff happen with USPS before. I'm sure it will turn up in a day or two, fingers crossed.

Man,they removed it from the site today.I added it to my cart and went to check to make sure i had the funds covered to get it(5-10 minutes tops)and came back to pull the trigger,gone from site.I recieved an email reply from them stating,we had to remove it due to it being a copy and legal issues,sorry for inconvenience.That is just my luck,i can not find any other site that is carrying it at all??So did any of the few who did order it get there's yet,and how does it perform??

Thanks for posting that info. Hopefully another vendor sells it soon at a good price. When I did a search on the HOTY after seeing it at EM I just saw it available at the Chinese vendors that sell in bulk.

Just recieved another email from empiremods.They said the HOTY will NOT be on the site for sale again as with the legal issues over it,they can't be sold online.
