Absolutely K-man..... I'd just never heard of that cut before. Once I picked my jaw up off the floor after looking at that picture, my second thought was "I wonder how he fit that big a*s diamond in there along with the battery?" Of course at the time i didn't know it was "Only" a quarter carat.

Drop dead gorgeous piece of kit....

either way, an ideal cut .25 carat is tiny. The bigger it looks on the Diamond Edition, the better. Spread cut should achieve a good look.

taken from the article:

"Shallow Stones are Fragile!

Not only do Spread Stones lose beauty and light, but they also become more fragile!

When Diamonds get shallow and thin, they become vulnerable, especially around the outer edge of the Diamond, which is called the Girdle. This edge can chip or break more easily because the Crown Facets (top of the Diamond) and Pavilion Facets meet at more of a sharp angle.

In fact, the entire Diamond becomes more prone to breaking since the stone gets so narrow. The odds of damage are greatly escalated!

Not only do YOU have to be more careful when wearing a Spread Diamond, but even Jewelers have to be more careful when setting them into heads or mountings."

This is a Zenesis you REALLY don't wanna drop!
I really think that would apply set in a ring. But set in a surface, like the Zenesis, it should be ok

I think too that if the area that the diamond will be placed in is in gold or whatever Zen plans on using, that it will help it appear larger and help it sparkle more too.

Keep in mind they are referring to the edge/girdle not the top of the diamond. This is more worrisome in a ring setting because of the setting itself and I would think a moot point if properly mounted in a recessed setting of buttery 18K Gold. where the girdle is tucked away and not exposed to the stresses of daily life. Ultimately, I believe Zen knows what he's doing and will ensure the setting and diamond are not accident prone even if the operater is because he is James Bond and will likely need to take out some bad guys on his way home from a black tie event. :offtopic:

The only reason I asked about the 6v was when peeps said they are putting them on Provari's so I didn't know if 6v's was ok. But I've decided to just get a standard and leave my silver bullet the way it is. With how many people I see busting tanks I've decided to keep one of my pv's the way it is LOL. Don't want to end up in the no vaping boat waiting on a part. :D
But I have my answer now so I'm good. :D No high voltage.

Thanks Everyone :D

Still would like to see a pic of the dragon. I am very sure that 1500 is more than I want to spend on a pv. :D I got me a special one coming so if I have to I can just stick to the basics. Besides 1500 would go better for the Bahamas :D

Not sure that's the case. While I'm not a faceter I am a lapidary and stones, any stones, get a lot easier to damage the thinner they get. Taking nothing away from Zen's design... I'm betting a big part of why he went that direction was to make sure he had battery clearence... And give the appearence of a larger stone. That's why they came up with the cut in the first place. The full set (as opposed to a prong set like in a regular ring) will give more support yes. But I'd have a lot more on my mind than a broken tank if I dropped that thing.

I could be wrong...

I really think that would apply set in a ring. But set in a surface, like the Zenesis, it should be ok

We all want to see a pic of the dragon, but there are only myths and legends.

It will have an 18k gold Bezel setting.
Bezel setting will help i bet! My wedding rings are bezel (both are) and boy do i love them! The setting keeps my diamonds very secure and cover the edge (girdle i guess) and boy do i beat my rings! Either way beautiful apv, but too high class for me ;)

Oh, this might be a good question for the FAQ if Zen~ has an answer for me. With the Z-Atty-Pro - do we just set it to 3.7 and vape? Or is there a voltage to avoid (5v and up maybe?)

In the wise words of the Isley Brothers...."It's your thing, do what you wanna do! I can't tell you, who to sHock  it to!"

Zen~ PM Me... we'll work it out... but you'll still have to use the site to order when they go live, which is looking less and less like it will be tonight due to "technical issues".... we're working on it.
