Well,

Here's my version....

OH

MY

GAWD

What a night...

It was crazy to see what happened when the additional bandwidth finally kicked in ... there were 35 left in inventory then POOF... 5 minutes later it was over... really sudden.

Instructions for those with questions...

1) If you wonder if your order went through, check your order history. If the item is in there, it's yours.

2) If you were charged and it's not in your order history, DO NOT DO A CHARGE BACK... Contact me and I will either issue a refund, or provide you with the product. NOBODY will get "stiffed"

3) If you just want to complain, please don't.

I'm sorting all of this out. Everybody with issues will be taken care of today.

I promise.

Zen,

I just left you a voice mail message. I just checked my order status on your site and it states I have two Zenesis mini's with the order complete. Can you Please remove of of those orders and recredit my account.

thanks Tony

Wow ... *rubs eyes - blinks - rubs eyes again* sooo this wasn't a dream eh?
I can't believe I got a standard...

I also can't believe my post count rose by 50 or so. LOL I don't usually post much - as you can gather since I have been a member of ECF for awhile now with a count less then 200.

I hang in the background and make occasional comments because most of you guys know more about these things re: technical stuff. I definitely feel for the folks involved longer then myself on this particular mission who did not get what they want.

but here's the thing about life: it's a crap shot with a big wish behind it! Mostly I think of this particular item as a present to myself. I am turning older again this year - recently laid off - I figured out that I have worked for the past 40 +/- years in one form or another - and though funds are a bit tight now, I deserve it! I am sorry for ya'll that did not get one, but if you don't have what you want by the time you are 62 then you will most assuredly be next in line for whatever comes your way. Call me lucky, but please don't call me new

i have the option to set my pages to 100 now?:?: i was still at the 40
Mother of posts... I'm pretty good at keeping up and I checked in periodically but I think I read 4 pages of 100 last night.. @___@;;

So without further ado...

- Congrats to all that got a Zenesis!

- There WILL be more sales to come and considering Zen signed up for 1,000 to be made.

- Plus, even if you didn't get one, it's a part of the fun (yes, I said fun) to camp out for the higher end APVs that are always made in too low of quantity to meet demand (Reo VV, Anything GG, etc).

edit: hey, I only have the 40 pages option:cry:

I'm one of the newbies.. I also read all the thread posts from several weeks back when I joined to catch up. I also met Zen IRL before I knew he made these. Should I feel bad for being able to get one? My best PV is an eGo with a clearo tank. I'm not a collector type person, I'm a miser. I'm the type of person that will spend $100 on a pair of shoes because I know they'll last for 7 years. (I have a 10 year old pair of Birkenstocks that I wear almost every day every winter) I have no intention of spending $150 on a "good" PV when I can make due with a $25 one and wait for a $250 great one that will last me forever and cost less to keep running.

But in short.. not all newbies are whiny b's, some of us are nice. =P

Edit: and I'll add - I'm really sorry you didn't manage to get one, Ash. =(

(edited again for typo's >.< )

Please excuse me for a moment as I rant, just a bit...
Thinking back to everything that went on last night, and I just have a few observations to remove from my brain.

First off, thank you to Zen for the patience to deal with everyone and for all of the work done behind the scenes, much of what was invisible to us. Not to mention dealing with the phone calls, emails, and PM's that surely would have sent most of us over the edge.

Personally, as sadistic as it may sound, I enjoyed last night. It reminded me of the "old days" sitting out all night in line to buy concert tickets, etc... It really shows how much the world truly has changed. Not everything needs to be instant gratification, does it? I for one have a deeper appreciation when that day arrives having been through whatever type of challenges were needed to obtain that given item. The first vape on the Mini will be all that much sweeter because of this.

Am I saying this simply because I got one? No... There have been plenty of similar situations in my past, and whether I obtained said item or not, there was still something to be said for the process. And unlike with some things, Zen~ willing, there will be another chance for those who didn't get their Zenesis of choice...

I truly do hope that a way to manage these types of "events" can be found that doesn't put so much stress on Zen~ in the future so that he may maintain his sanity and profitability... Perhaps a lottery system, allow x posts to a thread and a random number generator to to pick the lucky recipients? Maybe a crazy online price and a coupon code to the "winners" to make the purchase like some sales have been handled in the past?

Either way, I guess I just feel that as a society these days, we take too many things for granted, and that we lose site of the "thrill of the hunt", etc... Nobody should have come into last night with any expectations. I give all the credit in the world for everything even going as smoothly as it did.. If everyone would have given some breathing space on the site, inventory would have been given exactly when promised! I've seen many product launches where the vendor couldn't even get themselves organized enough to do that.

It was also great to see that the vast majority of the community on here kept their cool, posted updates here, offered the best advice they could, and that throughout everything, Zen continued to be active...

Ok, getting off the soapbox, this thing is getting unstable...

Thanks to all for the experience.

What a night!

I finally got a Zenesis today, I feel relieved and tired (only slept 3 hours to get up at 5:30am local time to buy the Zen). One thing has been bugging me. Please don't presume that I feel this is the way it HAS to go, I'm just hoping to spark a healthy discussion about possible ways to help Zen and the community.

The thing is, although I should be completely exhilarated with my luck today, I feel really bad for the people who have been active in this thread that didn't make it today. The issue is, that people come here and spend months browsing the forum. A lot of us got lucky today, but others didn't. This community is the building block of the most loyal and active customer base that ANY vendor could hope for (not to mention a totally random collection of very interesting people). It's also very good free advertising for a product that is likely to go down in vaping history.

To prevent members of the Zenesis community from feeling let down, I suggest starting some form pre-sale lottery (lottery meaning a guaranteed PV that the winner must pay for) that people here on ECF can nominate for (Zen could introduce rules when advertising the lottery that participants need to have a number of posts in the thread or have written in here before if he wishes to make such restrictions). A special allotment of PVs could then go to the core community.

Again, I have no idea if this is legal, ethical or desirable, it's just an idea :).

I am not sure, but, before anyone further potentially misconstrue my comment in defense of Ash's feelings; I only PRESUME that's what Ash was feeling. For a hot minute I felt that way as well because there were a few posters popping up who I know have never been here before and who knows if they even secured a Zenesis; if they did, more power to them. Funnily enough, those of you who responded in your own defense--I wasn't referring to you or implying that because you have xxx-posts or whatever--that you don't deserve one. Not at all! Like I said, for a hot minute, there was a bit of feeling defeated and self-pity (for me, anyway). I don't begrudge anyone their ability to secure their Zenesis; I know my time will come! :D
