I actually just supervised staff who provide residential services for developmentally disabled adults. This is my first experience with working in tandem with hospice. We're learning as we go, but it's better than just abandoning our guys to nursing homes at the end. Unfortunately, many down syndrome individuals end up with dementia and get pneumonia from aspirating so I guess I'd better get used to it. Ok, time to get ready to hit the hay. ya'll have a good night

If I were inclined to be a nurse, which I'm not, hospice it seems would take a special type of person. It sounds like that's what you do tiff, and I respect that a great deal.
Agreed. I may be a cynical @$$ but situations like that get to me. That takes guts in a way most don't have.

I don't think I could ever be in hospice. The fact that we can't do anything but provide comfort care is something that I just can't accept. I think that's why I like NICU so much... I commend you Tiff.

On a lighter note I just saved a bunch of money by switching to Geico.

I dont have Geico; they killed my inner child.

You know the Gecko's voice is not the same person, he was fired after some political shenanigans (prank call, gone bad)...true story.

Seriously, he got fired!

Really? You don't believe me?

THE TRUTH

Lizards shouldn't tread on people, that's all I can say!

He's Australian, but that's besides the point. I don't mind CGI geckos with English or Australian accents (though, truth be told, that AD campaign "Jumped the Shark" a decade ago.)

Geico is elitest. A company that charges me $400 every 6 months on a Lexus SUV and then charges me $500 every 6 months for a Honda Accord is a 'politically incorrect' word that was censored in the movie "Tropic Thunder" while aired recently on the FX Network (even though they played every other curse word, they actually censored a word that is descriptive and not profane). So, I switched to Nationwide, I like the wacky spokesman, and they charged me less on my Honda.

Never go "Full Geico"

I don't have a Honda anymore, but I'm still angry. :p

Were all the variables the same? Age of vehicles, coverage, deductibles.....no younger drivers listed on the Honda? I agree the Lexus should have a higher value than a Honda, but I do think Honda is the most or one of the most stolen cars on the streets today.

I am sure you asked at one point, why the Honda cost more to cover, what was their explanation?

Yes, they were both new, both leased, same coverage. My guess is they either classify people who drive a Lexus as safer drivers, or more likely, that Honda's are stolen and more desirable to steal (which is a fact) and that's sad because I would rather steal a Lexus than an Accord, but now I sound elitist. :p

The "Magic 0 & 1" machine proclaimed it, was pretty much what their response was!

Late Night/Early Morning head count?

Wh01's awake. I can't sleep now, my new metallic lover is coming home from bootcamp (she's a tough gal).

Titanium Standard, I will name you.... Sexy Cleopatra.

Poignant Misnomer: Cleopatra really wasn't that pretty; "Roly-Poly Bat Faced Girl" to borrow a phrase from Paul Simon, but please don't call me Al.

That didn't sound right.
