The mini torch is nice but not required. There are many ways to oxidize your wick. I personally use my gas stove to heat it red hot and quince it one time. Then dip it in some vg and light it on fire, let it burn out. I do that about 5 times and call it good.

I don't have any pure VG. Is that necessary, or is the juice you're going to be using adequate?

Yeah, you can just use juice. You just want to gunk up or season the wick a bit before wrapping the coil.

Also, if you want to get some VG, you can get a bottle at any drugstore pharmacy. It will be in the same section as isopropyl alcohol. Just make sure it says USP on it. That means it's food safe.

I keep seeing this and I want to say something. I don't think that you need to own a Zenesis to be a true Zenfidel. Nah, having the device is just the icing. I consider it more of a mindset. If you participate in this community, you play nice, you give more than you receive and in general are good person then I think you are a Zenfidel in spirit.

I guess I say it more for those that are here and have not yet gotten one. You shouldn't feel left out. Nobody should feel excluded and everybody should feel welcome and embraced. Karla, and all the rest of you that I see here all the time helping, inquiring and supporting, have always been Zenfidels in my mind.

Very true. You can use any juice. I'm sure everyone has a bottle of a flavor they thought they would like but don't. Use that, there is no flavor transfer so unless it is menthol or cinnamon you will not taste it. The higher the vg the better though. It helps gunk it up faster.

I'm currently using stardusts on my eGo, I like the convenience of the tank but after a while (less than 2 ml's) of use my juice gets a lot darker and thicker than it was when I added it and the flavor goes way downhill. Can anyone tell me if this happens in the Zenesis too? I'm assuming it's from the heat of the atty running down the center. Does the center post on the Zenesis heat up?

My Zenesis gets very warm (I'm a chain vaper ), but I would think it's the coil heating up and not the center post? I do see a bit of darkening, but it's nothing like a Stardust - or worse, a carto in a tank! The way the Zenesis is set up, you don't have the heat source sitting in the middle of your juice.

I've been on a few different forums, chatrooms, etc that all pertain to ecigs and have felt outcasted, belittled, and chastised. I must say, I haven't felt persucuted, isolated or demeaned in any way from members here on this thread. Its comforting to go to a place where snide, juvenile, and retaliatory comments are kept out. I KNOW that I am just getting my feet wet still here and am just trying to read and soak up knowledge from all the posts. Ick! I'm sorry you've had to deal with that kind of behavior Sobero - people can be so crappy sometimes, especially when hidden behind the anonymity of the internet. Just hang with us! We're, for the most part, a pretty friendly bunch and I'm glad you've had a good experience here!
