zen recommends 4 to start with, then try one less or one more from there...it all depends on what voltage you prefer to vape with.. I use 3.7 to 4.2v with most of my mods, and atm, the z-atty-g has 4 wraps 36ga nichrome in it, guessing its around 1.8 to 2 ohms........ two rebuildables I have...one has 3 wraps 36ga nichrome dual coils (reads 1.1 ohm on my provari), for 3.7v vaping, another one has 6 wraps of 32ga kanthal for 3.1 ohm vaping at 7.4v.. (those 2 arent z-atty's though too)

How did you do dual coils? Two separate strands of wire?

And even of you figure out how to do it... Do NOT set up dual coils on a zenesis or Z-atty... The load is REALLY a bad idea. It's a massive current drain and absolutely not needed to get good performance.

I feel one of the reasons we have seen an increase in battery failures recently is largely due to the proliferation of dual coil cartos.

Wow. Eight minimum. That is more than I thought.

That's because the current limit of the ProVari will cause the PV to error out at higher currents required for lower resistance loads.

The Buzz Pro, And Infinity Pro will work with 5 wraps. This is because those utilize a buck circuit instead of a boost circuit.

Totally agree. I often wonder why people can't leave a good thing alone. I am often heard saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Then again, I love new inventions.

Nah, I don't even like dual coil cartos but I am curious about all of the possibilities. Having said that, I don't really see what you'd gain with dual coils on a Zenesis other than lower resistance which you should be able to get with fewer wraps on a single coil.

Did I miss the pricing? I am pretty curious about this. As I am coming back to ecigs I want to have a better route than attys and cartos. So I seen these rebuildable attys, from here, katana from poc, and one from clouds of vapor. I have no idea the differences as this is a first time seeing this. Can anyone kinda explain it other than the fact that its not an atty or carto? I can't see pictures either since at work. I am curious as to difference with this and say katana? Last but not least, The big crave was CE2 when I quit vaping. I heard they had really bad wicking problems. Now as far as I know, there is no wick it is mesh. Still no idea how this works. But is there problems with this? Can you get the mesh and wire or whatever predone up or is it easier than what it is sounding? Thanks all!

Forgot to ask about button placement and lock. Is there any kind of lock on the button, also where is it located? When I say located I mean on its side or on the very bottom? Thanks again.

Can you watch video's at work? If not I'll try and help with some answers. The House of Hybrids has several mods made by Zen~, several are mentioned throughout this thread. The standard is the 18650 model, the mini is the 18350 model. They are considered a one piece unit because they house a battery, have a built in tank and rebuildable atomizer. There are others out there like the katana, orion to name a few. However these other ones are built overseas, the Zenesis is built in the US of A. Now the rebuildable atomizers are many and now Zen has introduced the Z-Atty. He is making one dedicated to the provari, the gg and a universal one.
more to come in next thread

The all in one units - have a bottom button. No lock (not needed). If you read back in the threads I'm sure several of your questions can be answered better by others than me. But feel free to check out the web site houseofhybrids. I hope this helps.

Zen also sales premade mesh wicks and sales the wire. You will have to wrap the mesh wicks with the wire(this is your coil) you then would wrap the wire ends to the post in the rebuildable atty area section of the unit. I know is sounds complicated but it really is simple easy peasy. Once you have the atty made, you fill the tank with e-liquid, put in your battery, put on your favorite tip and vape away.

I cannot watch videos. I work on a military instalation that barely lets me see anything. I have been reading my brains out and I think I have everything answered except the following. There is the new z atty g. Does this come on the already made Zenesis? If not, what is the differenece? I am guessing it is the same just for different pvs. Second I know I read somewhere about some titanium ordeal? Is this the special edition or is it just talk or what? Thanks all. Trust me in about 6 hours I will be watching videos. Now to find release dates! 325 pages is a lot haha

The ProVari 2 comes out next month and addresses the issue so you can use LR ;)

Totally agree Zen, I built a dual coil setup on my Odysseus and was blown away by how fast it drained an AW IMR 18650 1600mah battery, it didn't seem to damage the battery (possibly due to the high quality of AW batts) but it'll definitely shorten the life of one if nothing else, and as you say there's really no need for it with rebuildable atty's :)

The Z-Atty's are made for other mods, the G is for the GGTS, the Pro for the ProVari and the other one is a universal 510 atty I believe, they are atties/tanks only and screw onto the mods. The Standard and Mini are the Zenesis Mod with the Atty/Tank built onto it in 1 piece. The Titanium version is a standard made from titanium instead of SS and requires a deposit to get on the list and they won't be made until the list is full.

No to the z atty g coming on already made zenesis. The Zenesis is the all-in-one unit. The Z-atty-G is just a rebuildable atty made to use with the GG mod. The Z-atty-P is a rebuildable atty made to use with the Provari mod. The Z-atty-U is a universal rebuildable atty that will work with most 510 mods. You will definitely understand once you see pics and video's. I can't wait for you to see them, lol. I love when someone discovers something new in the vaping world. I am as excited about the zenesis as many others here, right now I'm just a zenfindel-in-waiting, hehe, but I'll be a full fledge zenfindel in March.

Oops, didn't see that VPDownunder already answered.
