I actually just happened to get very lucky. I was so fed up with atties and cartos, that I was looking for a rebuildable Genesis style mod, that wouldn't break the bank.
I found this thread, and read through 27 or 28 pages, and the very last page was when Zen~ announced the contest to name this crew.
Honestly, I just typed the first thing that popped into my head. I didn't think it had a chance in he!! of winning, but here we are, Zenfidels all!

I remember that day. :)

I THINK it was his second contest that I won and then he had some Zenjector winners who guessed his newest invention. Karma (?) won one and someone else. SOOO long ago, I don't remember who though! :)

You never know when he'll have a surprise contest, spur-of-the-moment Zenesis model (AYS, ASH, PCHELA and the OB) on this thread. That's just one more thing that makes it a fun thread. :)

Brewzz!! I was reading the beginning of this thread today and came across your post that named us "Zenfidels":

Good morning Zenfidels!!

I got on the list for a mini. If everything works out for Zen on production, I'll have it just a little bit before my first anniversary of being analog free!

That was on page 10! December 30, 2011 and my first post was on the same page 10 on January 1, 2012! 797 pages later....

Here we are. It's kinda mind-boggling. :)

You got me curious as to how long I have been seriously on this list. My first post I could find was 2/8/12, but my request to be put on the ZAP list was PM'd to Zen on 1/22/12 so I have been on the list since sometime in January......and I think I was on the thread sporadically during December.......LOL

dearme, I just noticed that you were posting on my very first thread in the new member area to help me out! You're a dear! *sniff* Is it getting dusty in here?

Thanks, Fili. I actually recognize quite a few names here that I originally saw in the New Members section. I spent quite a lot of time there answering questions and cheering new people along. It's nice to see so many progressing to Zen's APVs.

Hear, hear! Who helped me on my newb threads and got me to DIY and helped me through the initial panic and then taught me the Zen way? Dear her :)

Good evening everyone.... Hope all is well in the house that Zen built!

Soooooo... I received my AYS yesterday... A thing of beauty indeed. (It really is nice just to hold and look at... If that doesn't sound too wierd.) This is my first rebuildable APV of any kind (moving up from a kgo). I've been using primarily VG heavy juices so before fillin’er up, I switched out the wick to the 325 and gave a new coil a whirl. (I currently have 5 wrap coil.) Like a couple others here, I had a switch that was hitting inconsistently so I took it apart, cleaned everything w/some isopropyl alcohol and then hit it with some DEoxIT gold. Also removed one of the small magnets while I was at it. Switch seems to be much more consistent now.

My question is this… Should ALL the coils glow or is it common for just a couple to glow? It appears that more, if not all the coils glow once the juice is burned off and holding it upright. It’s a little bit inconsistent.

It's normal for the bottom coils to take longer to light up when saturated with juice. On a dry burn, they should all glow evenly... that's when you can adjust them.

Yea.... I think I'm good. I guess I wasn't holding the button down long enough. They're all glowing like little red fireflys when I continue to hold the button.

Now I guess I "Just Vape It!"

Thanks pchela!

Well, when you dry burn, do they all light up pretty evenly? Do you have a way to video them lighting up? Lots of people here could tell you in a heartbeat if you're good to go or not.

And yes, I adjust mine on a dry burn - adjust and then forget about them.
