here :d
Only Zen can say for sure, but from what I gather...he hates the gouger not the gougee. It's not your decision to pay someone a ridiculous sum for a Zenesis that is deplorable, it's the act of profiteering from unintentional scarcity that is deplorable. There will come a point in the not so distant future when supply and demand equalize...and at that point you may feel silly for having spent your money on nothing but lining the pockets of a profiteer, but I don't think Zen is the kind of person to punish you for your impatience. Chastise, perhaps.

But keep this in mind: Those who would gouge others for products, thus in effect generating a larger profit for themselves than the actual designer of said products, can ONLY do so because there are people naive or impatient enough to pay them the price. You contribute to the negative profiteering situation by buying from profiteers.

Amen!! well said puma :thumb:

I tend to over pay for everything i buy, I get caught up in the moment, the i gotta have it now!! Its a mental defect i have. I sell stuff on the ecf usually at a loss because i over paid for it. No one to blame but myself though. I dont have a huge problem with people over charging for stuff if someone is willing to pay for it (Now to clarify, im not talking about stuff people need, like during disasters, im talking about stuff we just want, not need to survive) But if a creator has asked people not to sell for a profit then I do believe there is something wrong with it. The biggest deterrent is you guys protecting Zens wishes.

And for the record, i have refrained from buying a zen above retail cost. Its hard, but im trying to learn patience. Im not very good at it though. But one day maybe my time will come

thats not really my concern. i mean if i have to slave at work for a day to compensate for that 140+ loss then i will . doesn't really affect my life. im happy to have a chance to try it without all the madness of waiting on the site and sit there and reloading it to death . i tried it on the last release and i gave up . i was really worried about the switch tho cause a buddy of mine was saying all the early zens have major switch issues. but even thats been clarified. so i have poly tube coming in the mail as we speak so , its truley a good day :toast:

i have a question tho. my thought process in buying it was that i would buy a stiff draw cap anyways since i like a stiffer draw. does any have any preformance analysis between the open draw and the stiff draw?

thanks in advance

Considering how hard it is to get hold of a Zenesis, it then seems ironic complaining when people are having to pay over the odds to get hold of one. Supply and demand and all that. If none are being made then it pushes the prices up. Patience is great, but even the most patient will be bummed out having to wait months and months.

140+ loss? Try double, that serial #0043 originally sold for $195 with the quartz tank.

Zens are being made and sold monthly. In the last sale there were around 100 that were sold out in just a few minutes. In addition to those, there were Special Editions that were also made and sold....BAM 100 APVs, AYS 30 APVs, Ash 20 APVs. The T1s were also finished, assembled, and went out in the mail in the last couple of weeks. There are about 250 people that have been on a list for many months for the Zattys. These are being assembled and will be going out in the next week or so.

And all of this is the effort of one man who also works a full time 40 hr work week. He is doing all the work on the Zenesis in what is laughingly called his spare time.

Most of the people on this list have been waiting months, not just days or weeks. In spite of that, all the Zenfidels believe in adhering to Zen's wishes pertaining to his Zenesis creations, and also believe in playing nice with the other members of the group.

People who believe that scalping is all right, or that getting a Zenesis APV anyway you can is acceptable behavior might not be a good fit for this group.
