Hey k-man and other lurkers.
I have not been around as have not been feeling well. Bad news about the mini...magnet (washer thingy) in bottom broke and may need an extra. So no vaping for me on my mini.
Kind if discouraged because i was not getting much vapor and the 18350 battery was not lasting. I probably should have gotten a standard. Hopefully Mike can mail me some replacement magnet washer thingies. Sure do hope it's my batteries that are causing the low vapour and will stop wishing i got the standard.

Good evening all
I haven't been round much, and finally caught up on the thread.
I got a chance to escape the 110 weather and head up to San Francisco so I took it missed out on the meteor shower though because of the fog. The mini performed flawlessly the whole weekend, so glad this device made its way to me.

So.... I went to decrud my wick and coil, and after dunking in water the wick was touching the top screw, tried to push it away and broke the coil. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Got out the kanthal and wicks and replaced it, well..... lemme tell ya. I have carpal tunnel and arthritis in my hands, plus I'm on meds that make them shake. It ain't pretty.... but it's vaping.

P.S. I used a 325 wick... which I think works better with the thicker juices? Anyway the 60/40 VG/PG seems to be wicking better on it. Less dry hits.

I broke mine the first time too. I actually took one out of my standard. just make sure they are apposing in polarity when you put the remainder back in.

I'm sorry it's been a difficult time getting her running. hopefully we can help you get it back up

UV check your battery's, I can run almost the entire tank on a good battery. I have 8 AW IMR 18350 batts and of course took all of them this weekend. I ran into a situation this weekend where I thought my device might be the prob for the not so stellar vapor production because I had just put in a fresh battery no so long ago. Turns out it was just the battery because a freshy solved the prob, and when I got home the meter confirmed I had a tired batt. I have a few that just don't last to long before loosing there charge and I need to replace them.

So, does anyone have a reliable fix for the dreaded bottom lead short? This is one I don't have a lot of luck fixing on my own without re-wrapping the coil.

Maybe try moving the extra wire down to the metal to ground it. and start the coil right before the wick whole?
