That's the last thing you should do! (Also straight from Zen). You can make the shipped coil work perfectly - you just have to do that bit of checking, nudging.

yvilla is 100% right!!! that coil is fine. subtle adjustments should be all you need. fire it and take a pic. we'll help you if we can see where the shorts are.

I agree, the coil Zen sent should be good. Try doing the glow and nudge process, first. Once you get the coil glowing evenly, you may need to vape through some juice to get the coil and wick broken in. Some people have been able to get it going faster by dripping and burning off some juice several times.
Also, as Readermaid said, some folks have found that the juices they once loved, are not so great when they're not muted by fillers and silica wicks.

Agreed. My positive screw was loose as well because of shipping. Do NOT rewrap a coil. This could possibly be the worst thing you can do. Zen wraps the perfect coil.

Also check ur neg and positive screws are tight, my positive was loose.

Oh, yeah... I noticed your location on the "other thread" :p You and "sanjosse" both.

I was in Alameda in October; local municipal theater did "Rocky Horror" on stage and we went with some friends of ours. Had a great time!

We need to start a Bay Area vapers meet!! :) :) :)

Sorry to be a pain with all of my questions but none of my coils glow until I hit 12-13 seconds, and then the bottom-most coil doesn't glow at all. I'm going to play around with it after I get some lunch. If anyone's available to take this to pm around 1:30ish, I'd appreciate it, if I don't get her running right by then.

In case this hasn't been answered..... I have a MUCH easier time finding shorts when the tank is empty.
Or close to empty. Dry buring, but I pulse the switch. I don't hold it for more than a few seconds at a time.
Just long enough for the wire to glow so I can see if any are brighter than the others.

Then I nudge, the pulse again until I get them worked out.
