hey ryd, like dearme, and landlord are saying, the wick needs a break in time, if your anything like me you were expecting this thing to work like a charm the second you filled it up, hehe i guess everything takes a little time, mines working better now, i still think id like the stiff draw better, but i love this clear window that doesnt crack with pluid, lol

Yeah, me too. I just ordered some extras from HOH in preperation to receiving this, and decided not to pick one up. Regretting that decision now.

TBH, I'm not sure what condition this wick and coil are in from the previous owner. The wires did not look shiny and new. The wick is a kind of brown color, as opposed to the near black ones that came from HOH in little baggies.

I think with time, I will enjoy genesis style. The bottom button, not so much. Already hurting my hand a bit. Might try and trade for a ZAP, which is what I've really been wanting since I started my hunt. Just couldn't pass up a Zen since the seller was willing to take my Penelope as trade to lower the cost a bit.

Thanks for the welcome! :)

So this is my first genesis style device. There was already a wick and coil installed when I got it, so I gave it a fill. It's not working all that great right now. Don't worry, I'm not discouraged. Just going to take some practice. Main issue is it's not really wicking that great. Any tips for better wicking? Thinking about pulling this wick and coil out and doing one on my own as it was a bit sloppy and might have too many coils (5).

Main concern right now though is the button. This is also my first bottom button and it's a bit strange. It seems like the throw could be a touch lighter. Also, the button wiggles around quite a bit. when I sit the Zen on the button, it wobbles all over the place. Any tricks to get the button nice and solid?

Thanks!

Is it a 400 wick or 325 wick? What juice mix do you use. If you use high VG, you may need a 325 wick. If you use high PG mix, a 400 wick is best. Make sure your wick is always down when you vape. Make sure the air hole is lined up with the wick. Wick down, zen~ Logo up when you vape. Make sure the wick is not touching the bottom of the tank OR that it's not too high and hitting the top cap. You want the wick trimmed even with the positive screw.

To change the throw on the switch: Unscrew the switch, remove the screw and S-L-O-W-L-Y separate the two sections (button and housing).

IF you have two thin magnets on the housing post, remove one.

IF you have a thinner magnet on the housing post and a larger magnet with a thinner magnet on it at the button end, remove the thinner magnet on the button end. BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT LET THE MAGNETS SNAP TOGETHER. THEY ARE VERY FRAGILE AND CAN BREAK. Just put that extra magnet away for future use in case you ever break the other one. The throw will then be set at LOW resistance. Very easy to push.

You really shouldn't ever stand your Zenesis up without it being in SOMETHING...coffee mugs? Glass jar? PV stand? Put it in something or it WILL fall over and break the Fused Quartz tank. Don't ask me how I know that. :D

Before you buy a stiff draw cap,
you can place a piece of tape, like masking tape, over the hole.
Then use a needle or toothpick, sharp edge to poke a little hole in the tape over the cap hole.

Try it then. You can make the tape hole bigger as you go along, to test if you really want a stiff draw cap.
I did this when I first got mine, and after a little while, I just ditched the tape.

Most people wind up preferring the stock cap, YMMV.

I'm vaping Blu Spot, it's a 70/30 pg/vg. I'm not 100% sure what mesh this is. I'm going to say it's 400 because the pack with 325 has 6, and the 400 pack has 5.
