hope all that are ailing are well.

one comment about the indented batteries. I can say I have had this happen with all of mine and I have determined the culprit.

user error. I slam that button up there super hard. I am not sure why, but I do push it much harder than necessary. Some could argue that I am doing it to make contact, but for me, I think it is just the way I do it. I find that if I have a light touch, it still works.

maybe try pushing it up lightly and listening for when it makes contact and practice pushing softer. I do not do this, but it might help :)

Yeah I am going to try firing lighter. After reading your post this seems very logical.

Edit: Almost all the time I find my problems are due to Operator Error.

Consider the finger already received!
Hello all. Doing a little catching up.
Vancouver is so beautiful.
Go visit my buddies at Westerly Yacht Sales right in front of Coal Harbour. Great peeps, they used to be one of my Beneteau dealers. Tell JP & Liane, Joe said hello. :)

I want to make one more off topic comment.

As many of you know, I am obviously a big supporter of Mike and his products. I know many think we are probably very close friends who chit-chat all the time on the phone. In fact there are others on this thread who have probably had much more contact than I have. I have a tendency to try to not bug him unless I have something major to discuss. I can say the first time we ever actually spoke was on CB's show a little while back. After that we had a conversation on the phone that was really great (and long. We both are talkers :))

I have had the pleasure of talking a couple of times in the last few days. As I said, I do not make a habit of calling as I know how busy he is. When we do talk, I always find it entertaining, enlightening and interesting. I would NEVER discuss on there what we discuss as I feel that what we talk about is between us. Most of it is not even stuff most of you would care about.

The point I want to make is this. Mike is a wonderful, caring, thoughtful and passionate man. I felt this from him before we even ever talked in person, but it is reinforced whenever I talk to him. I know people like to criticize him on this site and others for what they perceive to be faults (communication, shipping etc) I can tell you that I will defend him most of the time and other times I will just ignore the comments.

I am no longer going to do that. I think I understand this man better than ever after my last couple of conversations, and I can say with 100% confidence, that he is doing what he thinks is in the best interest of everyone and what is right. Is he perfect? No, but none of us are. At least he is trying and that is more than I can say for a lot of people. He gives more of himself than most people I know, and my respect for him is enormous.

I will no longer sit back and be silent while people who have no idea what he is going through bash him without having all the details. Call me a homer. I do not care any longer. Trust me, I own a lot of devices, from a lot of people that I think are making wonderful things. They might be wonderful people as well. I feel like I know this man now and I can tell you with certainly that he is a great person. You can take my word for it or not. I do not care. :)

it's on like donkey kong. :) (I just like saying that :))

Sorry to "out" you as a great person like this in a public forum. You might be annoyed that I am doing this. I do not care about that either. It needed to be said.

love, the ob.

Not sure that's off topic, ob. I will say that I have never spoken to the man, but the way he handled the recent misunderstanding about my activity in the classies was beyond reproach.

That doesn't make me gay you know....First, I sat on it by accident. Second, a little prostate stimulation is good for the soul, and third, they only time I've done ANYTHING considered "homerish" I was in a bind, and really needed a ride.

I'm just kidding. I didn't need the ride.

I am not the one who decided to permanently insert one of these devices "where the sun don't shine" :)
