I use my GGTS with no spring, so a brass screw should be fine, you can always use a 2 cents safty fuse or a Holocron Labs ShortStop fuse.

I'm thinking about buying a brass screw and screwing that in the post.

That way I can keep turning and adjusting it as needed.

Anyone ever used a screw instead of a spring?

I'm no expert on these things.

I haven't looked but is it threaded in there? Would need to find out from imeo or someone who already knows, what thread pitch and size it is tapped to take. I do think that would work though. Great idea ob.

Didn't think it was threaded. Took my cap off and yup, it does (GGTS newbie as well). That sounds like a solid plan.

I noticed it the first time I took the spring out.

I'm surprised no one that I've ever seen has discussed that. Seems like in certain situations being able to open it and adjust the screw might be nice.

That and it would Probably solve the rocking this it does with the spring.

That being said, the Spring gives you more play.

I think its not happening if it's pr.ovape. They said if it was them, they would announce it first on facebook. You would think they would know if they were the vendor though

I don't know zen, but having listened to him for a few hours in one of the elixir shows and going by what he did with the other 2, he's probably going to go with a smaller seller.

I was trying to think of a way to attach the kick to a battery. Would have to be removable, and still not sure you would be able to get it out by jerking it (lol), or tapping on the palm of your hand, etc

A kick in a Zenesis Hybrid? You will not need to worry about the whole VV thing with the Zenesis Hybrid, trust me, I had the same thoughts or worries before I had one. Once you get one, the only issue you will experience of not having the kick or electronics is some kind of pulsing or light that tells you your batt needs replacing....you will learn to use your taste and vape levels to judge that and it will come to you very quickly.

Had the standard for a week now. I'm getting used to how it vapes at about 3.8/3.7 and pulling the battery. Testing with my multimeter for now periodically. The device has been in use daily and taken to work all week, and I'm loving it, no doubt about it. I just still think having a constant vape all the way through a charge is a big bonus. I see what Zen means about not even worrying about ohms, watts, volts, etc (saw the vid from PBasardo). At first I really wanted to ditch the bottom switch and go z-atty. Now, after just a week, I don't think I'll be selling mine, even if I end up using the ZAU or ZAP (hopefully) more often. It's my first, and it feels special. I just recently decided to buy some newer mods after rocking my V1 Buzz for 2 years straight, daily. Will be keeping that as well, even with the faded to bare metal areas from gripping it :)

Sorry, bit long, and random. I just love vaping, the whole community, and how far things have come.

Cant even count how many times Ive had to tap the bottom of my SB on my palm to get the kick to work.

IMO 3 of the kicks biggest drawbacks are the tolerances on the sides to tube and the weak ground spring and poor thermal insulation. The constant jaring side to side cant be good. Bouncing around in my truck all day in my SB may be what contributed to the death of mine every 2 months 3x. If I ever decide to own another it would probably be in a tube mod that I made on my lathe that would compensate the loose fit:pervy:

As Ive said before I was a kick cheerleader, but I recently broke down and bought a provari. A day after I got my provari my dads 2 month old kick's top post fell off, so I let him use mine til his got replaced. I then bought him a provari just like mine(early bday present) He got his kick back from evolv and gives me mine back. After 2 weeks of extremely light use maybe 2 hrs a day, it died and was only kickin 3.2v at any wattage. But I will say one thing, Evolv's customer service (Brandon) is great! Ive had a 6 day turn around replacement from the day I shipped on my 2 past kick returns, expecting the 3rd will be the similar turnaround time. I mailed it this morning.

I do know one thing for sure, pushing electronics to their limits creates excessive heat, ask any gamer, great job ProVape! Im now a fanboy and understand pbusardo's dramatic intro to the provari:laugh:

Haven't really used mine that much. Good to hear the CS is good if it ever acts up. When I do use the GGTS, it's doing it's job though.

Gotta think Evolv is working on a V2 (maybe not, I don't keep up on their operation). Other companies are probably trying to create something similar too. As long as they keep it the same size, we might see a couple different options in the future. I think that is always good for most of us on the consumer end to have some competition.
