...It doesn't slice or dice and it surely doesn't make mounds and mounds of julien fries....

Ecitek... I have no clue where you got that mesh... but it sure doesn't look like any 325x325 I've ever seen, even if they said it was!

It looks WAY too coarse... in fact it looks like fine window screen... please compare it to the 325x325 wicks I included and see if it's looser mesh... it could just be the photo, but really coarse mesh will over wick like crazy, and that's exactly the symptom you are experiencing.

My thoughts exactly, that mesh is more like 120 count. Not only will it wick like mad, but the TH will be near unbearable. If that was sold as #325 mesh the I would snap a pic and send it to the seller and request they send you real #325 or give you a refund. What is in that pic is not going to make an enjoyable Genisis atomizer.

I hope I am not speaking out of turn here, but it also looks like the tank is leaking through the o-rings on that PV. Perhaps the o-rings are too small or got damaged slightly on assembly (personally I am leaning towards the o-rings were just a tad smaller than the others in the package they came from... most likely just a manufacturing slip up... it happens).

I can certainly understand the frustrations with trying to get your Genisis atty right, especially when everyone else is not having the same issues.

well, quite a day.

As I mentioned a few days ago, I am currently in LA on business so I can only check in once in a while. appts all day every day every hour, on the hour.

I am not quoting zen's post as I do not want this one to be so long. Nicely done and very necessary.

Zen, thanks a ton for the video. Very clear (I know the hi-def took a while to load, but it was worth it)

Is the mesh rolling one next? I hope so.

Karma, love you man. You are literally NOT allowed to leave. This place would be half of what it is without you. Even if I only understand a fraction of the technical things you are explaining :)

Of course we all know I am not that bright anyway. I look forward to receiving my devices on March 92nd :)

sorry, I could not help myself. :)

Hey - I thought of a name for my Mini!

JUICIFER!

Some of you will get it.

OH NO!!!! Did you jet the serial # 666??? No worries, just stock up on some "Beggin' Strips" to keep the hounds at bay :)

I get the reference, I'm just in a silly mood tonight. Go figure, I haven't even had a single drink tonight ;)

OH NO!!!! Did you jet the serial # 666???...

I wish.

I may have solved the leaking problem, but hoping this post won't jinx it. I did install yet another wick, after a thorough cleaning and it worked great for a couple of hours until I reached for it and got a handful of juice! SO I cleaned it again and then I tried something completely different. I thinned my juice with a little distilled water. So far the pooling has gone down and it may have done the trick. Next time I'll just thin with a little extra flavoring and see how that goes.

I sure hope this is it. I'd love to discover the solution so I can offer it to others.

Hi fellow Zenfidels, I have a quick question. I have the mini :toast: but I am starting to have misfires quite often. Let me describe the problem: When it fires everything is awesome, however about every 3rd hit (sometimes repeatedly) it will not fire. I checked to see if the button screw is not making contact but to the best of my knowledge it is. Another phenomena I noted; I took the cap off to see if it was firing and it was not so I held the button down and after about 10 seconds it starts to fire after about another 2 or 3 seconds it is putting out copious amounts of vapor. However, after I let go of the button it starts the misfiring again. Any suggestions?
Also to note, I read a few pages back that zen is going to have a fix for the button issue for the standards. I have a mini and the button on mine is very loose and I was wondering if that is the main problem and is it going to be addressed for the the mini owners also?

For Zen~: Please don't read this as a complaint or judgement; I think the whole Zenesis concept is awesome and I have no regrets (as a matter of fact I'm still enthralled with my mini). With every new concept there is a period of adjustment to perfect and work out the little glitches associated with first generation manufactured products. I consider myself fortunate that I am part of this "adjustment" period because I am getting in on the ground floor of a new direction in personal vaporizers. That's my :2c:; don't be so hard on yourself Zen~ our problems are relatively miner considering that we are getting ready to make the carto/atty a relic in the APV market.

I found out the problem :D. I took the switch apart and lo and behold I found that on of the magnets was broken into three pieces. I figure that the littlest piece was jamming the mechanism. So as a temporary fix I sandwiched the broken magnet between the other two and put it all together and ground some Noalox into the screw with a emory (same with the battery contacts). Now it hits every time and the play is significantly reduced in the switch to boot. Thanks everyone.

Zen~ would it be possible to order a magnet. I think I can hold out for a few weeks until it is a more convenient time for you since everything is hunky dory on my end; maybe even just ship it with the other switch. And yes I will most definitely send the old switch back.

I LOVE MY MINI !!!! :vapor::toast::D:D

Actually I am just waiting for Zen to see this - I have been posting about it for a while and I am not really in the mood to explain it to yet another person.

About the leaking. Have you checked that the O-rings don't have any damage. I am not being facetious, just showing concern for my fellow Zenfidels troubles.

I know I don't have my Zenesis yet, so you can take it with a grain of salt. I am saying this based on my own research and the information I was able to gather trying to write an article about the genesis.

For people who are vaping sludge like I do, I am going to let you in on a few tricks from someone who only vapes 100% VG with out dillution and uses SS Mesh wicks. Take about 1/4" less material then zen~ used in his 325. Also cut the little angle on the top. Do a couple of extra burns on the torch with the vg. Everything else is exactly as zen said.

100% VG pretty much needs a 305 to 307 mesh to reproduce ideal capalary action, at least according to the math I was doing for aerogel wicks ;)

Basicaly rolling the wick slightly looser will allow it to carry enough liquid fast enough with out over filling. it the reason for the extra burns is to junk it up a bit more, because you don't have the ideal capalary size and you are trying to utilize the space in between the turns of the roll, and the junk is going to help the wicking alot.

Karma, what do you consider "sludge"?

Are you saying that the 325 mesh will need to have the processes/preparation modified in order to provide me with a consistent vape?

I ask because Boba's Bounty is my go to juice. I consider it sludge compared to most of the others that I vape in between. With any luck, I can be prepared to lock and load with minimal issues in my mission to make this as smooth of a transition as possible.
