Since nobody has mentioned it, my first guess would be CA... aka "superglue". As long as the insulator is a tight-ish fit, smear a little on the outside and slip it into the (clean) hole, then hold for a few seconds. See if that works...

Ok, this soldier is off to bed! So far I would consider my google doc spreadsheet of Vapercon attendees to be a mixed blessing. I had to do some editing. First off, I know Roberta isn't coming. Mom doesn't travel much unless it's to a jewish deli up the street from her Florida condo or a cruise somehwere where she can drink her body mass in wine. Second, while a possibility, I don't think Wonder Woman will be there, and unless grruss is coming my old standard won't be there either! I'm not sure if the 'ripple post' is legit or not, but I think he's coming.
