i think a lot of it is the finishing of the edges of the tanks... they are not as was discussed a while ago. mine which hasnt had any issues has small chips on the edges which can be microscopic cracks. i believe zen is working with the manufacturer to have them flame polished which would most likely solve a lot of the cracking issues

Yeah, I think you are right on that... A flame polish would have increased their strength dramatically, but could also wreck the tolerances at the edge making them impossible to install.

I think this one is ready for the FAQ book - or Zen-knowledge-base.

I had terrible problems with flooding and leaking, even out the sides of the Mini, who earned the name JUICIFER due to its' problems.

After countless wick replacements and cleanings. the one thing that worked and has been working since was to thin my juice a bit. Started with water, but tried thinning with pure flavoring and then PGA. PGA was the best so far. Still juice under the cap, but that is to be expected. As long as I don't get a handful of juice when I pick it up!

So - having problems with your SUPER THICK VG juice flooding and leaking? Try just a few drops of PGA (pure grain alcohol) to thin just a bit. May be the answer you are looking for.

ALL HAIL JUICIFER.

ALL HAIL JUICIFER!

I'm really impressed you worked through it! I thought we were gonna lose ya for a bit there.

And I'm REALLY happy we didn't!

Thank you Zen.

It was a little touch-n-go for a while there, but my main concern was fixing it. As mentioned, you don't want to be around me when I am working on the car either...

I am glad that this resulted in me discovering a fix that might help others in the future.

my original coil got "tweaked" in shipping,

we did get it working again following Zens coil fiddling technic (btw dont keep needle on coils for to long) and got it working good but not right. So we tore it all apart to give it a deep cleaning and Ventured to build or first wick and coil all went well and after fiddle the coil was working awesome. but it was on the slight snug side and as the wick soaks up juice it gets alil to tight but with tippin it work awesome all night and part of today ............. this after noon were going to wrap a new coil on the same wick and see if we can get her perfect

gotta love the 32" bedroom monitor

Yea I been thinking about a Zen~ alert system of some kind.

Zen Alert thread has been posted in the group. Zen and Zen only can post in that thread with updates, changes and delays so people do not have to dig through so many posts.

You can subscribe to that thread and it will notify you when Zen adds a post to it.

Thanks for the update. Glad they are working for you.

Actually, I'm looking for the 2000 for me and some 14500 for a friend. I was trying to go with one order, but it looks like I might have to make it 2.

RTD Vapor is my regular battery stop, but the don't have either size right now.

Super T is very good. They have the 2000, but don't even sell the 14500.

I'm just going make 2 orders. It isn't that big a deal. Super T ships for something like $2 or less, I believe.

sorry sometimes all my words dont make it to my fingers one to many accidents ... wheres a decent place with magnets maybe varied magnets

Here are a couple I got those from Magnets4less, but I don't see that magnet any more, it's 1/32nd thick, I think. Certainly not a 1/4 inch. I thought they were 3/16 x 1/32.
