Good MOrning everyone. That was gthe fasterst catchup ever. Where did everyone go?

I have a question on the coil that was wrapped when I received my Zap. The kanthal going from the negative to the wick, should this glow when its operational? In other words, the coil, when juice is flowing does not glow, understandable, the little bit of wire from the post to the wick does glow. It vapes fine, from what I can tell, just curious if I need to make any kind of adjustment.
Everybody is to busy gearing up for vapercon. That and 600 some zen attys have hit the streets in the past month, so nobody's coming on here stalking zens.
Wow 90 day notice thats crazy!
Tapawhat?
Good morning. Yep, I'm one of the 600. Got my ZAP last week from the Provape sale. I surely don't have to tell you folk, it's a 'wonderous' atty. Not new to rebuilding, but obviously new to the Z-atty. Any recommendations for required reading for a 1st time user would be appreciated.
It's a short. Do some poking.......
Wouldn't a short imply it would not work at all? This is kind of a hot spot but there is no way to get it any closer to the wick since it is the short distance from the negative post to the wick. My understanding is when a coil is dry, you fire the coil and if it does not glow evenly, you adjust it so all the wraps glow as one. This happens normally right now. I just have noticed when juice is flowing and it is in normal operation the wire from the negative post to the wick glows since it does not have any juice on it. I just wanted to know if this was normal as it seems logically it would, I just wasn't sure.
i also agree, could mean the coils is not up against the wick somewhere towards the bottom causing that spot to glow there if i am correct... i had the same issue when i first got my zen and after playing with the bottom coils it went awayHot spots are caused by a small short. I agree with dearme. Move the bottom coil up or down a touch while firing to see if it goes away. No, I would say it is not normal. The wire from the wick to my negative post does not glow. Juice or no juice

Thanks! Checking it out now.K-man, the Nitecore i4 charger has had good feedback over here. It has 4 bays with spring loaded contacts and imo is good value for just over $20.
I hope she's well. She'll be back; taking care of home and personal stuff at the moment.
I'm with ya hating Mondays.Good morning everyone. Holy crap I hate Mondays. I just can not get with it.
On the plus side, I only have to get through 6 more days of work (not counting today) before leaving for VC, woot!
