So without any implications I just wanted to ask - is the shipping date being pushed back to do some QC on the remaining BAMs? I have been patiently waiting and this will be my first and only Zen APV. I don't know if I will be able to bring myself to ship it back for repair after finally receiving it. If it doesn't work correctly I may just hold it and cry :p

Nothing will ship until its right... I hate being slapped around.

thanks for the offer, bro. i'll keep you posted.

That wasn't exactly claiming your spot NOW

Hey!! Who can I room with? I'm harmless...one of the guys...seriously....

Ummmm... hehehehe

I'm gonna try that on the threads of my Sidewinder. I know it can hit harder

It can... wait for the update kit...

Congrats on the closing Mike

Thanks!

Rushing you for fixes and price drops and thieves and no sleep, just trying to show my appreciation for all your doing for the community here. Your a great guy and have AWESOME products, I only recommended the easy off because of all the post I read about the anodizing being the problem, didn't mean to offend you in any way or try to ruin someone else's beautiful ZEN~, it was just a method I used to remove anodizing from my BMX parts when I was younger :) Anyways congratulations on the escrow close and getting a new home, prices in Vegas are crazy LOW $200,000 could get you a 3500+ sf home here

i think that what we all need now is patience.
no one knows more about these devices than the man who designed them. no one cares more about our vape happiness than the same guy. before we all ruin our new APVs with Grandma's home fixes, i think we should take a step back, breathe, count to whatever it takes, and wait for the perfect fix that WILL come sooner than later.
not that i wasn't looking forward to trying the fix with Elmer's glue, cotton balls, and a half pound of honey glazed ham...
it will get better, i promise. rats don't lie... at least this one doesn't!!!

Oh that... lol... there's ALWAYS that kind of stuff going on... as I've said before... I'm the guy some people love to hate...

Right now I'm vaping an updated Sidewinder and it's performing great.

West of Rochester, I just closed on a 4000 sq ft Farm House built in 1820 that was completely updated in 2008, plus a 1850 sq ft workshop on 1.1 acres of land for under 150K ... a guy can't even get a GG Grant for that price...

bart,
the tank does come off hard sometimes, but just make sure you take the top oring off first, and then twist the fused quartz tank in a turning motion to get it off. It will come off.
As for the insulators, I know Zen sells them on the site, but not 100% sure if they are in stock right now.

Hope that helped!

Hi guys interested to know about the insulation on the ZAP, the insulation for the wick. Do you buy more from the site and can not seem to get the tank off any tips.

Yes you can buy more insulators at the HOH site.

To get your tank off remove the top cap oring. Slowly twist the tank glass, once you have it spinning start to pull it of SLOWLY. If you go to fast it can come off all of a sudden leading to potential accidents. If you are having trouble keeping a grip on it try a floppy rubber jar opener

I drive a '91 chevy caprice classic 5.0.....I'm lucky to get 12 miles/gallon lol.....just over 90k miles on it...

and....happy Birfday to me :p now officially a half century old...

ZOMG, happy berfday dude!

A question: if you remove the insulator and aren't shorting out (assuming of course you are making contact with the sidewall) are you not significantly increasing the amperage draw thereby reducing battery life per charge and overall?

I leave mine in, mike put it there and he knows best. Though apparently you can oxidise and gunk up your wick to the point that this shouldnt happen, but im afraid of shorts.

Congrats on the house, you deserve it, and i cant wait to grab a SW, wish i had the money for one while i was drooling all over it at VC (figure of speech, i didnt drool on it i promise... maybe a little) but by tomorrows paycheck i will, and the wait just makes it that much sweeter. Should i just wait and get one through electronicstix, or is there another way?
